Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 09/08/2014. Big thanks to Leighton for this one. Mahogany bown coloured pour with a loose cream head. Aroma is earthy roast, coffee bean, nuty malts and some chilli pepper. Flavour is sweet nutty caramel malts, liquorice, nutty malts. Palate is full bodied, spicy and fairly sweet. Nice beer.

"I believe this is a barreled blend of stout and barleywine. Lots going on, both from the beers (chooclate, roast, caramel, toffee, a hint of hop bitterness) and the barrels (slight booze, vanilla, oak, bourbon). Pretty nice smooth beer overall."

RBESG 2014 in London, grand tasting. Dark amber beer with a nice beige head. Malty vinous aroma, Woody, caramel, licorice, raisins, figs, yeasty notes. Malty fruity caramel flavor, caramel, hay, figs, yeast, citrus. some warming alcohol. A bit too sweet.

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty woody bourbon aroma. Sweetish malty woody bourbon flavor. Has a fruity malty woody bourbon vanilla finish.

Bottle shared at RBESG ’14 Grand Tasting, Moncada Brewery, thanks to LKS 09/08/14. Murky chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering that dissipates to edgework. Nose is caramel fudge, spice, bourbon notes, treacle toffee, light booze. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, spice, creme brulee, earthy vibes, candied orange peel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, lightly warming alcohol in the close. Decent.

Taste malts, heavy bourbon, sweetness, liquor, warming alcohol, vanilla. Heavy, warming alcohol finish, medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours clear amber with a light, bubbly beige head. The nose is all wood, caramel, bourbon and dark fruits. Big sweet flavor with dried fruits, tannic wood tones, dates. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with rich fruits, toffee, booze, figs. Not bad though a bit heavy-handed.
