22 oz. bottle consumed in 2010 from notes. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a small khaki head. The aroma has big raspberry fruit with a tart character, caramel malts, bourbon, wood and vanilla. The flavor has more of the caramel malt coming through, bourbon, tart raspberry, wood and vanilla. The alcohol does show a bit, but is mostly warming.

Sampled March 2011; RBWG
This beer pours with a hazy, brown-tinged, gold amber color and is topped by a pale, tan colored head. The nose has a rich, chewy raspberry note to it that is made up of seed notes, fruit pulp and a tart raspberry character. The raspberry aromas overpower the base beer notes, but there is a touch of malt as well as some Bourbon that plays a supporting role by providing touches of spicy, buttery oak and vanilla notes.

The beer has a spicy, Bourbon laden finish that has a definite alcohol character to it. Dry, caramelized malt notes help to accentuate the barrel and oak influence. The raspberry flavors are much more subtle in the flavor, but there is a touch of tartness here. Peppery, Bourbon’ish alcohol, lots of woody notes and a touch of vanill are noticeable, but really there is a lot more spice and wood character than the rest. Not bad in the end, but not really my preference either.

Hazy orange color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, raspberry, toffee, oxidation, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of raspberry, sweet up front, fruity, with slight sourness in the finish. Also somewhat oxidized.

(22oz, bottled 11/29/2009, #73/156) clearish ornage/ruby with a ring of light tan head. Nose of fresh raspberry, cherry, bourbon and vanilla with light rosemary. Smells complex and delicious. Taste of raspberry, vanilla, alcohol and bourbon. Thin body, well carbonated with a hot linger.

Bottle poured into a perfect pint glass, provided by Sean via Brad, thanks guys!!!...Medium hazy peach, interesting look. Light retention not much lacing on this...A coy aroma of light raspberries, vanilla, oak, and bourbon, only a hint of sour...The taste is mostly vanilla and bourbon, reminds of GI Dominique. Very smooth bourbon on this. A touch too sweet from the vanilla, raspberries show a bit, not enough, same with sour. This is really good but would be awesome if a touch more sour and the raspberries came in. An easy to drink vanilla, bourbon wheat beer. Worth trying for sure.

Bottle at RBWG. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A sweet woody nose, some berries and vanilla. The flavor is smooth; rich raspberries, sweet vanilla, bourbon. Interesting.

Bottle at RBWG 2011. Pours murky red/pink, thin off-white head, no real lacing. Nose is bourbon/coconut, tart raspberries. Flavours of bourbon and pure soft raspberry flesh, very succulent. Mid-weight, sweet bourbon finish. Very cool stuff.
