4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
from notes at ACBF. Pours a nice creamier brown hue. Huge, and I mean frickin huge maple nose, unlike anyother beer with maple in it i’ve ever had. It’s pretty smooth on the palate, and normally with the two dimensional palate I would have given it a lower rating, but the sweetness and bourbon plus the maple really hit my palate the right way this time. The balance was ok, but so much flavor.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at ACBF. Dark brown pour, small head. Interesting idea barrel aging a dubbel- has the classic sweet malt and nuttiness of a dubbel, but with woody vanilla present as well. Not sure it works, but points for originality.
