Bottle thansk again to JSTAX ! Pours a deep umber mahogany color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose has some great dark fruit, cherry, burnst sugar and traces of boozy bourbon and vanilla. The palate is velvety smooth with nice carbonation that draws out all the subtleties in the flavor. Nice ripe cherry cola, dank bourbon soaked wood, molasses, a touch of bitter walnut. Really easy drinker with just enough bourbon character to enhance the beer but not overpower the soft quad notes.

22 oz. bottle shared by jckp64- thanks again, John! Pours a semi-cloudy mahogany color with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits (figs, dates), caramel, oak, bourbon. The flavor has the same barrel notes (oak, bourbon, vanilla, toasted sugar), but more fruit than the nose. Medium-bodied, with a fruity, sweet, almost juicy mouthfeel and low carbonation. A bit too fruity, but otherwise a good beer.

Bottle thanks to John, thanks! Pour is caramel brown with thin tan head. Aroma is rich with alcohol, light brown sugar, and faint tartness. Flavor also with light tartness, faint brown sugar, light vanilla, and bourbon. Lots going on here.

Bottle purchased at the brewery in Athens. Another killer barrel aged offering from Jackie O’s. The pour was dark brown with aromas of bourbon and dark fruits. Flavors of bourbon, oak, vanilla and dark fruits are woven together in this deliciously complex beer.

22oz bottle, from Jackie O’s a bit sweet, lots of big vanilla flavor and certainly an odd tasting quad, none of the raisin or plum or alcoholic burn associated just smooth sweet goodness.

Thanks, Matt. Dark fruits in the nose along with mild bourbon. Not nearly as smooth as the Pappy version, but more base. Very mild sweetness.

Thick caramel pour with medium viscous tan head. Amazing fruit and bourbon nose. Dried fruit combo of grapes/pears/figs/dates for the flavor followed by a brown sugar tart cherry pie finish. O jackie Ooooo . . .

Tap sample. Poured a hazy dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to dark sweet malt and small bourbon alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Improved sweet complex brew.
