Bottle purchased at the brewery in Athens. Another killer barrel aged offering from Jackie Oís. The pour was dark brown with aromas of bourbon and dark fruits. Flavors of bourbon, oak, vanilla and dark fruits are woven together in this deliciously complex beer.

22oz bottle shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours dark rusty brown with a small head. Nose is nutty boozy bourbon spice dark fruit and caramel raisin. Taste has wonderful silky mouthfeel, lots of dark fruit, some roastiness, oaky vanilla, boozy spice. Finish is roasty spice fruit, raisin, caramel, vanilla, some nutty brown sugar and almond. Nice sipper that tastes bigger than it feels, with good complexity.

Bottle... Clear brown pour with mahogany highlights. No head. Smells like the Town Hall Twisted Trace - mainly of bourbon. Full-bodied and velvety with stinging carbonation. Great bourbon flavor without being hot or harsh. Plenty of rich, toasted malts and dark fruits, but the bourbon is front and center. Iím glad it is, because itís rock solid and very enjoyable. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Bottle shared by Darkguardian. Dark brown pour with no real head. Big bourbon bouquet. Bitter dark roasted malts, bourbon. Average body and mouthfeel.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, spicy yeast, some bourbon and oak and vanilla, some chocolate, caramel and toffee, and some light bitterness. Flavor the same with a lot of dark fruits. Smoother texture. A solid quad, but weird because there are too many dark fruit notes for my liking.

Bomber to snifter (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good; a cloudy dark brown with thin beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good; dark fruit, vanilla, oak, and a touch of mildly smooth bourbon. Tastes Ike it smells, but tart. Merge fruit too. Average on the palate. Good beer, but it smells better than it tastes and the mouthfeel is odd for the style. It could be mildly infected, but itís enjoyable anyway.

>> Thanks alexsdad06 for the share. Pours clear amber red, weaker foam. Nose is Twizzlers, blondie, limoncello. Taste is thin, tart, lemon. Palate is weaker. Wouldnít peg this as a quad, seems to have soured.

Bottle with thanks to Jmikolitch! Pours clear ruby chestnut, small brown head, some lacing. Aroma is very malty, sugary, boubon. Flavor is sweet, oaky, bourbon, cotton candy, molasses, toffee, some windex, yeast. Fairly astringent, little bitterness. Medium body. This is a very woody beer. Woody. Woody. The more I drink the more I detect a bit of tartness, I wonder if there is a bit of infection here? Woody. Oh, and woody.

Bottle (22 oz). From pandableh, thanks Dan! Dark amber with a small beige ring of foam and not much lacing. Aroma is comparable to other good bourbon barrel quad with bourbon, caramel, dark fruits, raisins and brown sugar. Taste is a tad problematic with a touch of acidity (maybe the beginning of an infection), way fruitier than aroma and a touch of bourbon. Light body. Low carbonation. Somewhat oily. Itís impressive how different the aroma and the taste are, but itís probably because of an infection. Thatís bad because the aroma was enticing.
