Tap sample. Poured a hazy dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to dark sweet malt and small bourbon alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Improved sweet complex brew.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of earthy malt and bourbon. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, roasted nuts and bourbon. The finish is oaky with a dark fruit and bourbon aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Dark brown pour with reddish tinges. Cream colored head. Figs, dates, vanilla, oak, raisins, sherry, honey roasted nuts, sweet bread...good stuff.

Bottle... Clear brown pour with mahogany highlights. No head. Smells like the Town Hall Twisted Trace - mainly of bourbon. Full-bodied and velvety with stinging carbonation. Great bourbon flavor without being hot or harsh. Plenty of rich, toasted malts and dark fruits, but the bourbon is front and center. Im glad it is, because its rock solid and very enjoyable. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

>> Thanks alexsdad06 for the share. Pours clear amber red, weaker foam. Nose is Twizzlers, blondie, limoncello. Taste is thin, tart, lemon. Palate is weaker. Wouldnt peg this as a quad, seems to have soured.

Sample on tap at Jackie-Os 7th. Very dark, near black clear color. Thin light khaki head. Big bourbon woody flavor. Some chocolate. Light dark fruit. Really, a complex, rich wood aroma. Bigger body. No viscosity, just nice and dry. Mostly bitter taste. I wish I had more to judge it by, but what I had was definitely very enjoyable.

22 oz. bottle shared by jckp64- thanks again, John! Pours a semi-cloudy mahogany color with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits (figs, dates), caramel, oak, bourbon. The flavor has the same barrel notes (oak, bourbon, vanilla, toasted sugar), but more fruit than the nose. Medium-bodied, with a fruity, sweet, almost juicy mouthfeel and low carbonation. A bit too fruity, but otherwise a good beer.

Draft at 7th Anny (also bottled). Pours a slightly hazy dark brown color with a thin off white film. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, bourbon, vanilla, wood, cherry, candi sugar and nice dark fruits favoring plums and raisins. Smooth and tasty.

Bomber to snifter (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good; a cloudy dark brown with thin beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good; dark fruit, vanilla, oak, and a touch of mildly smooth bourbon. Tastes Ike it smells, but tart. Merge fruit too. Average on the palate. Good beer, but it smells better than it tastes and the mouthfeel is odd for the style. It could be mildly infected, but its enjoyable anyway.
