A blend of Willett barrel aged Brick Kiln aged for 14 months and an assortment of Buffalo Trace barrels that were aged for 9 months. Incredible blend, very delicious, and full.

Been seeing this same batch in the beer cooler of Whole Foods for nearly a year now. Figured it was time to pick one up. Dense, hazed cola-to-opaque gradient body when illuminated. Hardly any head. Typical bourbon barrel off the bat on the nose; vanilla, caramel toffee, nutty, prickly. A bit of sticky date, a bit of char. Flavor has some great vanilla notes to complement the ripe dried date and sweet chocolate tootsie roll characters. Body is viscous but doesnt stick around too long after a sip. Linger is gently bitter and sugary with some "green" vine-like notes to it. This ones a heavy hitter in terms of ABV. Definitely a bit more than 11.5. Share and enjoy.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a medium beige head. A big sweet fruity toffee nose. The flavor is sweet bourbon, vanilla, sweet strawberries, toffee, caramel. Quite good.

Brown pour. Nose and taste are primarily diaper and garbage. Some caramel after it warms but that weird garbage thing pervades. Not similar to infected beers Ive had in the past, so no clue what exactly is going on here. Will revisit and re-rate if I come across a better bottle of this.

Tasted from draft. Pours a dark cloudy brown with white head. Strong aroma of bourbon, caramel, toffee, maple syrup, and vanilla. Sticky and clingy mouthfeel. Flavors of bourbon, caramel, biscuits, maple syrup, earthy. Very sweet with mild to no bitterness. Hides the alcohol very well. Overall very well done but don't expect to drink much due to sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really dark brown color with mocha head. Aroma is intense: bourbon, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, molasses... everything you want in a bourbon BA beer. Taste starts with a slightly tart cherry flavor. In the middle you get the bourbon and caramel notes. Finishes on a bitter, slightly roasty and hoppy note. Body is syrupy smooth and alcohol has a slight burn. A really nice barleywine with very good BA characteristics. If only the alcohol was a little better integrated.

Bottle, shared @ tasting. Pours a dark brown. clear beer with a very small off white head on top. Aroma of bourbon with chocolate. Faint hints of the base beer are present here, the bourbon treatment adds some more complexity and some woody notes. Flavor is sweet, slightly boozy, bourbon and wood with a faint hint of vanilla in there. Very malty, sweet and full bodied. Rich, complex beer. Nice one!

Bottle from Ryan, nice color and artwork to this label. Pours brownish gold with small head. Lots of richness with barrel, bourbon, and cream. Medium to fuller mouth with lighter carb. not bad.
