This hauntingly good brew in your hand is rife with dark complexities. Eleven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected American hops help support the monolithic maltiness of Dark Apparition. After a month of conditioning in stainless steel, the beer was transferred into bourbon barrels. For 8 months, Dark Apparition waited patiently in oak barrels until the time was right to spring forth with its ghostly gusto. A truly decadent brew that is intended to be poured into your favorite snifter and given time to warm up from its dark and cold resting place. Be aware when in the presence of Dark Apparition ’cause this ghost is a creeper.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2015 Dark cola pour with minimal tan head. Aroma is dark prunes and fruits - nice but not super complex on the nose. Taste is a beautiful combination of barrel and beer - vanilla caramel to the max, sweet finish with some dark fruits coming out; toasty in a good way. Not a very full bodied beer but the flavours are exceptional. Delicious stuff.

Bomber, from 2012 i think, courtesy of Tommy and Chris, thanks! Thick black pour, with light chocolate milk head. Aroma, roasted malts, strong whiffs of oak, and vanilla, stings the nose a bit. Taste is roasted malts, loads of oak and wood, almost scrapes the palate, toast dry finish with a touch of warmth from the booze. Really nice.

Bottle - Lots of bourbon, molasses and roast. Jet black with no head. Oaky, bitter chocolate, roasty malts and a very dry finish. I quite like this.
