4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fantastic beer!! Josh C! Thanks for the bottle!!
Pours dark black with a think dark head that fades rather quickly. The nose on this one if fantastic! Tons of bourbon, vanilla and some coffee. The taste follows that nose perfectly! Great bourbon, chocolate and coffee that mixes wonderfully.
Great mouthfeel, very thick and satisfying.
Overall, I will try to get this bottle again at every opportunity! Don’t miss out if you can get it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours cola-colored with a thin tan head. Nose is dark roast coffee, but not pungent at all. Sugary, with a graham cracker, vanilla, and milky cream base. Taste is dark roast coffee with lots of milky sweetness, vanilla, butterscotch, oak, and dark roast on the finish. A little booze with warming heat on the finish. Pretty big body. The barrel aging seems to have amped up the sweetness and muted the coffee.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Notes of espresso, dark chocolate and bourbon on the nose. Pour is thick with a dark tan/red head that lingers around for the entire pour. Taste is predominantly coffee into bitter chocolate with bourbon finishing off the palate with the smoked malts of the stout coming through at the very end. A nice brew but the coffee takes over all of the predominant flavor and really doesn’t allow the beer to really shine.

Bottle, from MikeTD, Wow, this was awesome. the coffee just adds such a great flavor, the taste from this is hauntingly awesome. barrel treatment takes a nice back seat and adds complementary flavors as opposed to dominate like a Bourbon County Stout So so good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap sample. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, chocolate and bourbon alcohol aroma. Heavy bittersweet dark coffee, chocolate malt flavor with a heavy dark bittersweet and small bourbon alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is an standout beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Taster on tap at Jackie-O’s 7th. Dark but clear color. Minimal khaki head. Little web on the surface. Really nice combo of bourbon and coffee in the nose. Just incredibly huge coffee flavor. Bourbon, wood, some smoke. Big body, light carbonation, dry texture. Bitter taste, and booze. This is a massive beer. Something to behold, but maybe not the best first choice to have the morning after the taste-a-thon I had the night prior... But I couldn’t resist

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured on draft. It’s inky black with no head to speak of. The aroma is very intense coffee. The bourbon comes through a little bit on the nose and in the taste. It takes the back seat to the coffee, though. Kopi really kicks this beer up a notch. If you don’t like coffee, though, you will hate this beer.

Trade from, ha i dont remember, sorry, but thanks a bunch. Dark brown pour with a small light brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, roast. Flavor is vanilla, chocolate, coffee, light alcohol, roasted malt, dark fruits. It has a soft carbonation, waterish mouthful, but still delicious. Nice lacings. Great beer.

Bottle shared by Lunch. Thanks Paul!
Bottle 50 / 213
The beer is a dark brown color, with 1/4" of beige head. The head recedes to a thin, oily layer and leaves some good lacing on the glass. The aroma brings a grandiose coffee presence, followed by bourbon, light tobacco, and subtle oak. The smell is superior to the taste. The flavor brings a heavy dose of coffee, as expected. Flavors blend well together, though the body is a bit on the thin side. The finish leaves ample coffee and roast notes lingering on the palate, as well as a lasting bitterness. Overall, this brew was pretty easy to drink and rather enjoyable.

Shared by alexsdad06 at DLD ’12- thanks again, Brad! Big-time want. Pours a deep but not opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Big, big coffee in this one. So smooth and roasty. Chocolate, oak, bourbon, vanilla, and toasted brown sugar complement the coffee. Medium-bodied, with a roasty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Very nice.
