2011 bottle 225 of 298...Pours black with ruby hues and very little mocha head. Aroma has roasty dark fruit and subtle vanilla and bourbon. Flavor has a tart dark fruit...cherry...that quickly fades to chocolate and then oaky/vanilla bourbon. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is slightly warming and has tart fruit and mild bourbon. Not sure if this has soured or was infected ot the tartness was intended but its not that bad.

Draft. Poured black color with an average fizzy brown head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Medium to heavy roasted coffee, toasted grain, chocolate malt and sweet bourbon aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy chocolate sweet and small alcohol finish of moderate to long duration. This is a small improvement on a standout beer.

22 oz bottle acquired in trade. Pours a richer deep dark brownish black, rich opaque pour with frothy tannish head that dies to a small ring, laces small. Aromas are richer sour cherry, touches of roast and cocoa. Touches of sour cherry, funk. Initial is medium bodied, offering cherry and cocoa, firm roast, mellow toffee. Some wild yeast, dryness come into the nose. Richer cocoa and roast nose with that firm sour cherry element. Middle is cocoa, caramel, a bit of girth with toffee, vanilla, and oak. Some toast, biscuits, cocoa. Caramel, toffee, vanilla, gentle spirit. Wild yeast gives a firm kick. Backend is gentle toast and cocoa, cherry and dark fruit couple with wild yeast. Gentle funk grows, a bit tart. Wild, oak. Meh. Overdone by funk.

Bottle shared by pantanp, iirc. Pours black with a tan head. The nose is kind of brutal. Hot and boozy, fusels abound, cocoa and cherry notes. Really odd. Somewhat solventy as well. On tasting, a whole lot better than it smells. More of the cocoa and a cherry note to the finish. Light vanilla. Still, not a masterpiece...

65cl, Vintage 2011, Bottle 110/298, no mention of ABV, new exclusive American brew, with honey and maple syrup, thx to Secret Santa!, complex Stout, malty/roasted and slightly alcoholic/fruity, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, nearly no head, good brew, yet very expensive!
