Tasted from a capped 650mL bomber bottle at the late night tasting after the Grand Tasting at RBWG Asheville, big thanks to DrSilverworm for sharing. Pours hazy, opaque dark brown with just thin tan lace. The nose is lots of coffee and vanilla, molasses, dark chocolate brownie, milk chocolate, and maple bourbon. The flavor is pretty coffee forward, nicely balanced with coffee and dark chocolate bitterness, along with the sweeter vanilla, caramel, and maple bourbon. The body is full with light carbonation and a long caramel bourbon and coffee finish. Excellent!

Pours jet black with a thick mocha head. Aroma of coffee, so much coffee, bourbon, oak and vanilla. Tastes is boozy, bourbon, oak, vanilla and bitter coffee. Nice but a bit over the top.

Sample @ RBWG Asheville After Party. Deep brown pour with a tiny tan head. Nose of roasted nuts, chocolate icing and peanut brittle. Some earthy roasted malt. Supple, rich dark chocolat flavor. Mellow coffee, some acidic tang. A bit boozy. Full on the palate, oily. Nice, very nice.

Bottle kindly shared by ForgetFu at Kulminator - thanks Bill! Pours intense black, no head. Really well integrated bourbon, added nicely with roasted notes of malt , coffee and cacao beans. Thick body, little heat, almost flat. Deep dark chocolate with coffee aroma’s. A real treat.

Bottle thanks to alexsdad06 ! Pours a deep silky burnt umber color with a finger of khaki foam. Lots of chocolate syrup, brownie batter, fresh coffee, some roasted earthiness, vanilla, hints of dark fruit... long balanced finish. Bourbon is well integrated and plays a supporting role to the coffee and base beer all coming together really nicely !

Taste is creamy viscous roasty coffee, bourbony fruit notes, bitter chocolate, licorice. Finish is fruity bourbon, roasty earthy coffee, soil, dark fruits. Awesome!

Bomber to snifter (shared with Dogbones and the Mrs.). Looks good; a semi-opaque dark cola with thin beige lacing. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, oak, coffee, and a bit of bourbon. Tastes like it smells with more chocolate. Nice and smooth on the palate. Awesome beer!

>> Pours a flatter, deep black ruby with weak foam. Nose is green coffee, sugar, caramel candy. Taste is sweet milk chocolate, caramel candy, Twix. Palate is too sugary, watery for me.

22 oz bottle shared with Drsilverworm (thanks) at RBWG-2014. Aroma: Nutty dark roasted grains with coffee. Strong and complex but of a mess. All the elements come together nicely in tasting, although the walnuts in this "walnut stout" are never apparent. Feel: Smooth, medium-full body. O: Strong refined complex taste make this an excellent sipper.
