Bottle. There it is, 2000 ratings. Never thought Id make it. Deep red pour, small lacing, white head. Aroma of raisins, red licorice, strawberries, dark cherries, quite fruity, light brown sugar notes. Taste is fruity, boozy, unfortunately quite tart. Palate is thin, like excessively wood-aged beers get, thin and tart. Unfortunate.

Bottle shared by Dave. Aroma is sour grape, figs, browned apple, and chocolate. Pours dark red with slight wispy film. Taste is off. Sour apple, rotten citrus, chocolate, and toffee. The barrel notes are there but the rest of the beer appears to have been infected.

Pours a dark and slightly hazy brown with no head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla and oak, lots of booze. Taste is boozy bourbon, vanilla, dark fruits and oak. A bit too boozy for my liking but its expected for what it is.

Draft at 7th Anny (also bottled). Pours a slightly hazy dark brown color with a thin off white film. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, bourbon, vanilla, wood, cherry, candi sugar and nice dark fruits favoring plums and raisins. Smooth and tasty.

It poured a hazy dark brown color with a brown head. The aroma was of sweet maltiness and some bourbon alcohol. It had a medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. The taste was of sweet bourbon with a nice sweet finish. A very complex brew, but nicely done.

Poured a dark amber from the bottle, aromas of bourbon, dark pitted fruit, mkstly figs, some sugar and a touch of earth. Flavors are dark pitted fruit and bourbon. Not overly boozy light lingering sweetness.

Bottle generously shared by burg326. Pours a mostly clear copper amber with a white head. Nose is some nice candy sugar, with toffee, bourbon, some plums, vanilla, and some wood. Flavor is similar with candy sugar, bourbon, vanilla, wood, plums, and some mild sweet fruit. Medium in body and nice overall.

Dark brown pour with reddish tinges. Cream colored head. Figs, dates, vanilla, oak, raisins, sherry, honey roasted nuts, sweet bread...good stuff.

Bottle thansk again to JSTAX ! Pours a deep umber mahogany color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose has some great dark fruit, cherry, burnst sugar and traces of boozy bourbon and vanilla. The palate is velvety smooth with nice carbonation that draws out all the subtleties in the flavor. Nice ripe cherry cola, dank bourbon soaked wood, molasses, a touch of bitter walnut. Really easy drinker with just enough bourbon character to enhance the beer but not overpower the soft quad notes.

22 oz. bottle shared by jckp64- thanks again, John! Pours a semi-cloudy mahogany color with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits (figs, dates), caramel, oak, bourbon. The flavor has the same barrel notes (oak, bourbon, vanilla, toasted sugar), but more fruit than the nose. Medium-bodied, with a fruity, sweet, almost juicy mouthfeel and low carbonation. A bit too fruity, but otherwise a good beer.
