3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
pours unclear dark brown, red tint, with a very nice light beige head, good retention and lacing. chocolate, red wine, wood, acetic, spices, booze, leather, cherries and other erd fruitiness, bretts. average to moderate carbonation, light body - oily, slightly astringent and relatively dry lactic and grassy finish. good drinkability but as for saison character.. it seems lost in this dark barreled approach.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a nice dark brown with a red tint and an offwhite head that leaves really good lacing. Aroma is downright winey (red wine of course) and loaded with stone fruits (cherries). Taste is tart and fruity, easy to drink. Light bodied and really quaffable. Really nice!

Pours very dark brown with red reflects. Very low beige head. Aroma is of fruits, malt, yeast. Taste is of fruits, berries, slight bitterness, interesting acidity. Reminiscent of Flander’s stuff. Alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Overall: Not bad at all. Nice fruit features.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Poured clear black color with a large frothy white head that was lasting with excellent lacing. Heavy sour yeast, dark fruit and tannic wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy blalanced complex tannic sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout complex beer for style.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber to snifter (thanks Tmoney99). Looks good; a fairly opaque dark cola with list beige lacing. Smells good; spicy with a BIG Cabernet barrel presence. Tastes like it smells, only not quite as balanced. Good on the palate. Good stuff!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22oz bottle, DSG and jsquire tasting at Chris’. Thanks jsquire! It pours a dark brown color with a large off-white head that sticks around. Aroma is already quite sour but upfront has huge notes of dark chocolate, almonds and vanilla. Definitely wood and red wine. Taste is similarly balanced between the more sweet deep dark chocolatey notes and more sour red wine barrel notes. Full bodied with good carbonation. Quite dry finish. Extremely good brew which I poured myself again and again.
