pours reddish, no head.
aroma and flavor, loads of cherries / mild cherry tartness. Barrel on this one was rather enjoyable, not overdone, lingering chocolate malts, and dark fruits; currants. Cabernet adds a nice warming abv and grape like mouthfeel that blends perfectly with the barrel.
Another tasty treat by Jackie-O

Sample during Jackie O’s 4th Anniversary Extravaganza. This was definitely one of my favorite beers of the weekend and one of two that I actually considered buying at the bottle sale. I think Brad loooooves brewing with berries! LOL. This one was great. Loads of roasted nuts, cherries, somc hints of vanilla sweetness ad even a tad sour. I enjoyed this beer immensely.

Bottle 26/156. Thanks, George. Pours dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is cherries, funk, and red wine. Flavor is cherries, red wine, and a little wood. Low carbonation and rather subtle flavors.

Black pour with a tan head. Some roasted notes, cherries in the nose. Flavor, cherry, some oak, chocolate and roast, some tartness on the finish. Pretty good.

Yet another very cool brew courtesy of markwise. Pours mahogany with thin tan head. The aroma has at first a thin pulse of roasty malts and molasses and then moving into modest red wine grape tartness as well as mild notes of oak. The taste is smooth to start with some roasty malts moving toward sour red wine and then some modest tartness too. It stays modestly tart into the finish and becomes somewhat refreshing.

Growler … This beer rocks!… Murky, dark brown/almost black beer with a small, fat-bubbled, khaki head. The aroma offers sour cherries and funk along with back-seat components of chocolate, wood and toasted nuts. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The tart, nutty flavor also displays cherries, wood and a vinous note. Tangy, dry finish. Growler of this world class beer courtesy of darkguardian!

Thanks to toncatcher for sharing. Flavors and aromas I like. Much like La Folie or cuvee De tomme. Very Good.

Growler from George. 1st rating. Thick dark black pour. Dry tart aroma. Same for the flavor, a little dry, some tartness, very good. (1079)
