22 oz. bottle via trade with Puddintane- thanks again, Dave! Bottle 2/180. Pours a hazy orange-red color with no head. The aroma has a lot of different fruits, like berries and dried fruits, with caramel, vanilla, and oak. Flavor of berries, apples, grapes, vanilla, caramel, and oak. A bit muddled. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a fruity mouthfeel. Another interesting blend.

BigSound (196) - New York, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Pours hazy gold with a very thin and short lasting off-white head. The aroma is tart raspberry, with notes of vanilla and sweet bourbon, just a tiny bit of booze in there as well. Great flavors here, tart raspberry, caramel, raisin, and a little booze on the finish. The body is thin with very light carbonation, I don’t know if this was intended but it works. Very tasty, complex and equally and equally refreshing.

JStax (2805) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 6, 2011
Poured on draft into a sampler glass. Appearance is a slightly hazy, light amber with a thin beige head of foam. In the aroma I detect notes of raspberries, booze, and a touch of caramel. Taste is more of the same with raspberries as the most pronounced essence. Medium to full bodied, with a medium finish.

egajdzis (5253) - Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2011
Dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, raspberry, pit, toffee malts, and alcohol. Taste of much of the same, with pronounced raspberry, brandy, and stronger alcohol in the finish.

Damico (2452) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2011
The beer pours somewhat clear amber with a very small off white head. The aroma is pretty hot almost whisky to overtake everything, with light berry notes. The flavor is hot but palatable barrel booze notes with a delicious portion of raspberry to settle well on the palate..

Glouglouburp (5938) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 15, 2011
In short: A very woody golden ale with sweet tart red fruits. Good beer.
How: Bottle shared at RBSG 2011 grand tasting
The look: Cloudy golden-orange body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is a bit barnyard and fruity but not particularly raspberries, I noted raspberries, cherries, young red apples. Taste is very woody, fresh red fruits, barnyard, sawdust, leather, moderate sweetness level, semi-tart finish. A strange but fun beer by Jackie-O. I wonder if former first lady Jackie O and Malcolm X play tic-tac-toe in heaven.

This poured a murky medium to lighter brown color with a beige head. Aroma was lots of toffee and caramel and some dark fruits. Flavor was much the same a but astringent and sweet. Just not a great blend butt an ok beer.

A: This is a pretty ugly beer. Murky, opaque, dark reddish/amber with no head. S: Just a wonderful aroma...butter, bourbon, and dark fruits. There is quite a bit of cherry and raspberry aroma. A bit of vanilla and oak with some light chocolate and vinegar. T: As crazy and disjointed as the nose was, the flavor is pretty much the same. Toffee, chocolate, bourbon, and butter are the biggest flavors but there is also a distinct vinegar and raspberry character. M: Medium in body with somewhat low carbonation. O: Just all over the place and not very good.
