2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours dark brown in color with small tan head. Booze is definitely a prominent aroma. A strong note of stale hops followed by cocoa, oak, and a mild fruitiness (mostly prunes). The flavor is a touch metallic followed by some mild bourbon, roast, and cocoa. A touch acidic, for some reason, with a little bit of dark fruit. Not a fan of this one at all.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured dark brown with a moderate frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt, wood with a complex alcohol aroma. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy bourbon, woody and malt sweet flavor with a heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a solid complex beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Pours black with a burnt-orange sparkle around the edges. No head. The fruity, deeply-roasted bouquet is a blend of dark chocolate, blueberries and blackberries. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. The flavor presents rich caramel, espresso and dark chocolate flanked by a whisper of tangy blackberries. Malty, vinous, caramel and toffee finish. 3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the brewpub. This blend pours a murky brownish-black color with a thin beige head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of malt and chocolate with bourbon in the background. Full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, malt, bourbon and a bit of butterscotch or toffee. The finish is roasty with a dark malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Jackie-Os. Dark black color, thin tan head, nice thick lace. Light carbonation, creamy smooth texture. Dark fruit, some spice, good balanced bourbon note, some chocolate. Kinda stouty, indeed. Bit on the boozy side with the bourbon, though, and sweet for sure.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle via trade with Puddintane- thanks again, Dave! Came out in 2011. Bottle 307/336. Pours a deep brown color with a small tan ring for a head. Aroma of coffee, plums, vanilla, cream, oak, and chocolate. Flavor of berries, plums, oak, brown sugar, oak, and light balsamic vinegar. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. My least favorite of the Cellar Cuvee series, though still not a bad beer.
