Courtesy of Craig. It pours mahogany with thin mocha head. The aroma offers up chocolate brownie, baker’s chocolate, some booziness and dark roasted malts mixing with some coffee notes. The taste has yummy dark chocolate, milk chocolate, dark roasted maltiness and some bourbon. Midway and into the finish it picks up an additional note in the form of vanilla. Yummy!

Appearance: Pours root beer brown with a sparse film of swirls.
Aroma: Cola, chocolate, peppermint patties. Graham cracker.
Taste: Roasted malt, burnt roast, vanilla, whiskey/sweet liquor.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall: Tasty, but a bit all over the place. I would drink this now if you have a bottle or two.

Big time coffee chocolate aromas with a bit of tart cherry. Taste is like a really nice chocolate red wine flavor, where does the sour come from?

Thanks to goryshkewych for the hookup. Cheers, George! Pours a medium stout brown with a tan head. Nose is whiskey, chocolate, spice, burn, and some vanilla as it warms with subtle brandy notes trying to emerge but being forced back by the whiskey heat. Flavor is chocolate and fudge up front, light booze with some subtle brandy in the mid, and some boozy whiskey in the finish. Light to medium in body considering the beers involved here. Somewhat boozy, but I am curious how it will age.

Really interesting brew. Obviously, this has been infected (I assume unintentionally). Pours a black hue with a medium brown head. A nose of sweet grapes big brandy and roast. A tart dark cherry flavor, big brandy, oak, grapes, roast and light chocolates, no bourbon. Good. Complex.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured dark brown with a moderate frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt, wood with a complex alcohol aroma. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy bourbon, woody and malt sweet flavor with a heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a solid complex beer.

Poured from a 22ounce bottle, thanks Doug. Nice chocolate notes, rich wine characters, some brettanomyces, cherries. Very interesting, not well balanced, but tasty.

Bottle... Pours black with a burnt-orange sparkle around the edges. No head. The fruity, deeply-roasted bouquet is a blend of dark chocolate, blueberries and blackberries. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. The flavor presents rich caramel, espresso and dark chocolate flanked by a whisper of tangy blackberries. Malty, vinous, caramel and toffee finish. Bottle shared by darkguardian!
