Can thanks to brigadier. Nose is initially musty. Then opens up to an earthy flower aroma. Can is slightly dented. Gonna affect the appearance rate. Taste is sweet with a light very light cocoa. Light vanilla. Slightly silky mouthfeel. Nice

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very solid Brown Ale on draft at Jackie O’s Public House. Tannish brown body produces a toasted malt nose and medium to lighter mouthfeel. At first you think this beer is just a normal brown ale with some roasty character and a little bit of some buttery cocoa touch but the backend offers this unique sweet tinge that really must be the honey. Super drinkable, good beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from a recent trade. Poured into a snifter at home. Deep brown pour with a fluffy head. No real lacing. Powerful aroma of caramel, soft ripened dark fruits, desert bread (or breakfast roll), nuts, cocoa powder. The taste is nearly as good as the aroma with the mocha, cocoa powder, roasted malts, roasted nuts and then finishing with a bitter coffee. Really a complex brown ale that is medium body, slick, full of flavor. Dry finish.

Can... Pours dark, mostly clear and ruby-hued with a small creamy off-white head. Decent retention. The nose furnishes a boatload of big, bad-ass mocha – Cuban espresso coffee beans and deep, dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied and silky with lazy carbonation. The flavor is moderately bitter and boasts an abundance of burnt cocoa. Short, deeply-roasted, mildly bitter finish. Can courtesy of darkguardian!

Chomo Lung Ma is a dark brown beer with a reddish cast. THe head is beige foam made up of medium to tiny bubbles. Nose is sweet caramel malt with hints of roast chestnuts. Initial taste is dry and nutty. There is sweetness of malt in the middle and there is more roast nut and just a touch of bitters on the finish with some sort of dried grass or hay herbal bit. Body is lightly effervescent. A nice brown ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. can, thanks to Treebute. Pours black, with a small, creamy, beige head. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate, coffee, raisins, molasses and light cinnamon. Heavy, malty sweetness, with just a touch of earthy bitterness. Medium body, chalky, and thick. Overall, this is a nice, flavorful brown ale, with lots of chocolate and dark fruits.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap @ Dutch’s / Cincinnati OH --- Clear dark brown with a thin rim head (by the time it got to my table), light streamers of lace. Taste is roasted malt with caramel entering in the palate, along with a sort of oily fruit presence. All of it moves quickly to a short finish. Drinkable, but way down the list of good brown ales.
