This brown ale was brewed to commemorate the Lungevity Everest Expedition. Brian Oestrike the brother of Jackie Os owner Art, sumitted the unforgiving mountain on May 22nd, 2007. The climb was a vehicle to raise money and awareness about lung cancer. The people of Tibet call Mt. Everest Chomolungma this exceptional ale carries on the spirit of the climb. 8 Malts, 2 hops, and twenty pounds of wild flower honey give this ale an exceptional character. Baked muffins, dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, rich honey and earthy subtle hops caress the palate. Booze soaked chocolate raisins round out the warm finish. Now available in cans.

12 oz can, Kenny Road Market, $1.99 single. Pours dark brown; creamy brown head becomes a large ring; strong lacing. Sweet, malty, nutty; honey is there but subdued; touches of dark sugar and chocolate. Medium/medium-thin body, medium-heavy sticky. Nice nut brown.

Draft: Poured a crazy think brown almost like chocolate milk with a frothy tan head. Aroma was malty and fruit. Taste is rich chocolate malts and some earthy hops.

Can from The Andersons Columbus. Pours dark brown with an inch of khaki foam. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Nice nutty aroma. i get a bit of sweetness on the tongue which balances out a fairly dry brown. Finishes clean. Solid beer within the style,

Canned. Nose nutty with a little dark toffee/caramel, sweet and inviting (though I may be imagining the smoke); pour dark brown with a ruby base and a rich light brown head. Taste dark and earthy, dark toffee and caramel, ruby red berry in the background and yes, some nice smoke and scorched malts. Its sweet, and the kind of sweet that bodes ill for the margins of your teeth, but theres a minor depth of malt and low bitterness to help (though no balance is struck). Roast is nice but trampled on, light floral notes here and there, nuts. Medium body creamy and theres a strong suggestion of spirits, as if aged in bourbon barrels. Clean, fresh, with light vanilla bean. Gotta go slow to stave off the excess, but as a sipper its complex and interesting. [2016.08.31: 3.5]

Can that has been cooler-aged at a local beer store since January. Very dark pour with creamy light brown head, good retention and some lacing. Aroma is nondescript maltiness - sorta biscuit, light toffee, honey and gentle roast -- maybe a bit of chocolate, but that may just be roasty biscuit throwing shadows. Moderately sweet with a roast, moderately bitter lasting finish. Medium body, average carbonation. Overall: nice.

Dark brown pour with brown head. Light malty aroma. Nice flavorful brown ale, not the most aeromatic brew but plenty of nutty and honey notes with some toffee and caramel too. Finish shows off the bittering, earthy nutty hop bitterness. Solid.

I mean it's not terrible-I think I notice a little of the honey and nuttiness in the background-but it's not super special or anything. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. It poured a cloudy dark brown color with a beige head. The aroma was of toffee and malts. The taste was of nuts, toffee, chocolate and some booze. Good stuff.

Pours a hazy dark brown with a tan head. Nice lacing in the glass. Aromas of raisin and dark fruits. Taste is slightly sweet with a bitter finish. Flavors of toast caramel and some coco. Nice ale light to medium mouth feel.
