3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can, courtesy of JStax – thanks! Deep chestnut pour with a modest tan head. Nice retention. Rich aroma of roasted malts, and a floral sweetness that must be the wildflower honey. Good flavor, a nice roasted component, nutty, and lightly sweet. It certainly doesn’t scream “honey.” I want to like this more...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a very dark almost black ruby color with a light beige head. Looked more like a stout or porter. Aroma is like honey covered biscuits. Taste is malty and biscuity. Don’t pick up much honey in the flavor. Faint hints of nuttiness. Different. But mostly just OK.

Can, from Wolfey’s... i’m not mad about this being around local bars at all.. plenty sweet and malty.. easy to drink and great to enjoy, was surprised by what a dark pour this beer is, its dark even by brown ale standards.

Draft. Excellent brown ale. Full body, lightly toasted malts, tall tan head, a little creamy... Borders on being a porter, but I really enjoy.

12oz can - pours dark brown with beige head. Nose is vanilla and chocolate. Roasty and that’s about it. Mildly bitter. Dry finish. Mid to long finish. Hoppier than usual brown ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz can served in a chalice.
Pours with a dark red-brown body topped by a small but durable head.
The aroma is rather rich and complex, with chocolate and fruit cake notes. The flavor is even richer, with dark fruits and roasted grains joining the dark chocolate. Mildly bitter finish, and never as sweet as expected from a brown ale brewed with honey.
Feel: medium body and carbonation; crisp with a slightly dry finish.
O: a flavorful and distinctive brown ale in a can. Recommended.
