Thanks to alexzsdad. Very strong bourbon smell. Poured with really no head whatsoever. Tastes like adult chocolate milk. Very smooth chocolate mixed extremely well the bourbon. Excellent

12oz bottle of this super rare beer thanks to George. Poured a syrupy black with low carbonation. Nose is tons of whisky with odd spicy hints, peppery almost and some dark fruity esters. My favorite of the 3. The flavor is just incredibly deep with a huge mouthfeel thats nice and thick with chewy malt presence, low bitterness but also not overly sweet. Lightly boozy as you would expect but with nuanced spicy barrel notes and tons of dank wood. Fantastic barrel aging experiment. It shows how a quality barrel can make a difference, this is alot better than the regular barrel aged dark apparition.

Another Jackie-Os beauty courtesy of markwise. Thanks! Mark. Pours super dark with red edges and mocha head. It puts up a huge aroma of vanilla, fudge brownie and bourbon/whiskey booze with modest spiciness revealed upon a deep draw. The taste is rich yummy chocolate brownie, rich vanilla and some smooth sweet whiskey that runs a touch to the harsh side. By about midway a mild note of spiciness comes to the surface in a feeble attempt to be heard over these rich yummy notes. It dries out some into the finish with dark roasted malts as well as wood and then leaving lingering notes of vanilla and fudge brownie heading into the after taste.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours British Petroleum black with no head, but a dark film drips down the inside of my glass - nice legs. The nose is a rich blend of caramel, oak, chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied and chewy with tingly carbonation. The flavor is tangy, liquor-hot and modestly sweet. Finishes tangy, sweet and warming. Thanks to darkguardian for sharing this rarity!

LCBS 2010. Don’t know how JW77 got these, but he did! Rich dark brown pour, nice creamy head. Hershey’s chocolate bars, booze, oak, prunes, raisins, and a slightly nutty character hidden in the background. Flavor of chocolate cake, fudge, booze, oak, pure vanilla beans, some light espresso and roasted malt. Delicious.

Pours thick dark brown with no head. Nose of chocolate, whiskey and soy. Taste of milk chocolate with whiskey, soy on the finish. Light carbonation, but better than the Bourbon version. Definite soy sauce note as well; seems more oxidized than the Bourbon version. Still a great beer, but seems to be showing more soy character than I recall from the first time I had it.

Thanks to George for this one. Pours dark brown/ black with a small whitish head. Nose is vanilla, slight chocolate, soy sauce, slight booze, and fudgy goodness. Flavor is similar with a teeny amount of soy sauce, and an insane amount of fudge and chocolate. Brad, please make lots!

12 oz. bottle from Brad consumed Feb 2012 (from notes). Pours dark brown to black in color with a thin beige head. Nose is dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark grains, vanilla and wood. The flavor is the same; dark roasted malts, barrel notes, dark chocolate, vanilla and woody. Smooth mouth feel and quite tasty. Recent bottle was noticeably flatter than my original tasted, but still tasty. Close to the bourbon.
