3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... Black pour with a small, creamy, khaki head. The nose is a generous, lush blend of dark chocolate and toasted tree nuts. Full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is mainly nutty and alcoholic. Finishes burnt and stupid boozy. I really like this treatment. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Draft at urbancaverís place. Thanks, Cam! Pours a deep, opaque brown with a big tan head that settles over time and reveals some floating nut pieces in the brew. Chunky. Aroma is super nutty and dry, with roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor of hazelnut, cashew, caramel, roast, cola, and root beer. Sweeter than the nose. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, chunky, roasty mouthfeel and low carbonation. Weird beer. Glad I got to try it.

Served in a Jackie Oís 2012 STAFF glass. Mild walnut character in the nose. Flavor has some roast and chocolate. Body is a bit lacking. Dry finish. Could use more nuts.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
STAFF bottle, shared by MikeTD and John, Thanks guys. Dark App is a good stout on its own, but with the addition of 3 kinds of nuts it makes the beer a bit different, a roasted flavor comes through with an odd sweetness and a bit of oily ness from the fats in the nuts.. good stuff, odd stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, caramel, nuts and alcohol aroma. Heavy bittersweet dark chocolate malt flavor with a heavy nutty bittersweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.

Sample on tap at Jackie-Oís 7th. Dark brown color. Thin light head. Head fades completely, after a bit. Good roasty aroma, some coffee, and dark chocolate. Nuttty, kind of boozy, with a moderate bitter taste. Little noticeable alcohol. Dry texture, medium / big body, works well with the malts. Lighter carbonation. Really excellent stout. Had a second taster the next morning, tasted a bit thinner than I remembered, but still very enjoyable.
