Bomber at Armin's. this bottle is infected for sure. Aroma is tart garbage with some chocolate toasty malt. Taste is sour tart and chocolate malt background. Might have been a pretty nice beer if not infected.12

Appearance was wonderful, with very little head. Smelled like chocolate, with coffee present as well. Taste was outstanding... chocolate, coffee and some fruit up front.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the pub. Dark beer with a rich, creamy head and a smooth oily mouth feel. Nose of rich, expensive chocolate and something like ice cream. There is a lot going on in this beer, with flavors of coffee with caramel syrup in it, raisin bread, chocolate covered cherries and a nice alcohol bloom. This is a great beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A little unusual - sweet, earthy, bitter - three things that donít traditionally work well together. I did, however, enjoy it because it was incredibly easy to drink for a 10% stout. Not completely convinced that it worked that well, but an interesting idea nonetheless.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle, sent from St. Fun (thanks Josh), pours black with a small tan / light brown head. Aroma of moderate roasted malt, a little chocolate, vanilla, caramel and a little coffee. Flavour is a touch sour, with notes of acidic cherries, coffee, and more cherries. Quite acidic, sour and cherry-ish for an impie stout. Fairly light-to-medium bodied, with an acidic cherry finish. Once you get your brain around that this is supposed to be an impie stout, itís quite enjoyable; but the sour notes do put up a red flag that perhaps this is infected a bit. Off the mark.
