COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hauntingly good brew in your hand is rife with dark complexities. Eleven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected American hops help support the monolithic maltiness of Dark Apparition. A truly decadent brew that is intended to be poured into your favorite snifter and given time to warm up from its dark and cold resting place. Be aware when in the presence of Dark Apparition cause this ghost is a creeper.

On tap at Daily Growler, Powell. Deep brown pour with thin tan head. Roasty malt and coffee in the aroma. Tastes are brown sugar, cocoa, roasty burnt vibe, vanilla. Little tinny. Very good, but little dissapointed given the reputation. Im sure Ill give it another go at some point. - 7.4

375 ml bottle, 2014 vintage. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a half inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit (raisins, plums), coffee, and caramel. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but theres also some molasses, herbal hops and burnt/charred malt noticeable too. Its a tasty brew, with plenty of roasty, bitter, and sweet flavors. Just gets better and better the longer I drink this! Mouthfeel/body is full, its rich, creamy and coating with low/moderate carbonation. I think its a pretty good RIS. Hopefully Jackie Os will put out another batch of this soon! $5.99 a bottle.

From bottle, poured a dark brown with tan head. Aroma jumps out with chocolate and coffee. Taste is a lot of cinnamon up front with chocolate, coffee, bread, and toast. Body was on the lighter side for a stout. Flavors stayed pretty consistent as it warmed up. I enjoyed it. First Jackie Os offering.

Little pour opaque black with thick tan head. Nose lots of roast, dark chocolate, and some alcohol. Taste bitter roast up front, then chocolate, dark fruit, transitioning to pleasing bitter. Some heat from the alcohol Late palate. Long chocolate roasty finish. Great mouth feel.

On tap at Jackie Os. Pours a deep brown with a nose of chocolate, dark fruit, and a hint of coffee grounds/peat. Flavor is has a lot of that with a hint of banana and cherry thrown in. Warmth from the ABV is lovely and goes nicely with the thick mouthfeel. Yum!
