COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our Razz wheat and soured it with B. Lambicus, Pediocaccus, and Lactobacilious it was then blended with our Organic Honey Nut Brown. Then blend was keg conditioned for 6 months allowing the wild yeast and bacteria to gorge themselves on the sugar rich nut brown portion of the blend. This beer is ripe with complexities including a fruity, musty, beady, and leathery nose and a light caramel covered raspberry flavor that finishes very tart and semi dry.

Bottle pours copper tinted brown with a small creme head. Smell is hearty raspberries, seedy fruit, sour oak and some cherry. Taste is soft, malty raspberries with lots of tart and sour notes that come to a drying end. Drinks very easily and isn’t too acidic or harsh. Hoping it stays that way over time!

Sample at HMOG. These specials from Jackie-Os have been a highlight of the past two HMOGs for me. Last year was skipping pappy, this year, this beer. Incredible. High tart quotient and great fruity aroma. Good smooth well balanced flavor with a good amount of sourness. Really enjoyable.

14/II/15 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ RBBWG IV (Beerlover_Ben’s place) - BB: n/a, 2014 vintage, bottle #137/250 (2014-188) Thanks to Dennoman for sharing the bottle!

Clear red brown beer, creamy beige irregular head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sourish, raspberries, fruity, funky, wild, some red wine vinegar. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, fruity, raspberries, some vinegar, some tannins, grape skin. Aftertaste: sweet fruity touch, raspberries, funky, very lemony. Weird, but not bad!

Bottle from Dennoman @ RBBWG 2015. Many thanks! Dark brown, thin white head. Soft carbonation. Very fruity (red berries), notes of vinegar. Light sweet. Tart finish. Very drinkable. Good.

Thanks to Dennoman. Bomber sampled @ RBBWG IV. 137/250. 2014 Vintage. Murky amber. Nose is sour fruit, metal, iron, tart rotting wood, puckering USA-style. Taste is sour plastic, lightly metallic, puckering red fruit jam, lightly watery, rotting red fruits. Rather thin, I am a bit confused as to why everyone loved this one so much.

Bottle @ RBBWG 2015 shared by Dennoman. Very nice deep dark red to almost purple color, small to average sized off-white head. Very nice aroma of sour fruits, wood sourness. Taste sour, wood, sour fruits. Very very fruity, raspberries, red currant, sour red fruits. I must admit, this is very well done.

Bottle: Thanks, Corbet. Muddy, ruby-tinted brown body, mostly opaque & topped with a dingy, gray-beige collar that never fully reaches "head" status. Aroma of sour, sour raspberries. Very tart on the nostrils with a touch of underlying sweet purée for balance. A bit of wet leather & a hint of toasted malt showing the brown ale beneath. Nice tartness on the palate; tart raspberry flesh, sour lemon, mild lactic acid, & soured lactobacillus yeast. Finishes with some deeper notes of leather, nuts, & raspberry perfume, perhaps with just a light touch of acetic lemon skin. Nearly puckering, dry aftertaste. Very nice wild ale.

Bottle. Holy bawls sour. Nose is tart. Pour is sour. Taste is sour. Ok, do obviously I think this is sour-forward but it still has some pleasant malt character and a light, refreshing fruit expression.
