4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
2012 bottle release from the Staff only bottle release. Pours a light hazy brown with no head. Aroma is of light raspberry, honey comb, and some soury malt. Taste is tart, apple, boozy raspberrys and port wine with some fresh wine grape fruit taste. Mouthfeel is rich as it warms. Overall this is a great beer but can see it being polarizing similar to V009. Not as complex as that beer but very nice raspberry wine notes. First jackie o bottle is a success.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from bottle at the Friday night tasting at RBWG Asheville. Pours hazy light cola with a thin beige head that leaves an average collar of lace. The nose is super abrasive sour, some lactic notes, and plenty of fresh raspberry. The flavor is the same with with more raspberry and a nice bit of funk. The body is medium and nicely tannic with average carbonation and a long super sour raspberry finish.

Bottle 200/400. Huge thanks to PhallusU for this one! Drank straight from the bottle while taking a shower. Aromas of okay moss, tart fruit. Taste is fairly tart and sour. Nice pucker. Getting some a ton of raspberry yogurt and some pretty big wood notes. Finish is tart and lingering. Very nice.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
It’s a rusty red ale with an etched off white top. Smells like new glarus raspberry tart - awesome nose. Flavor carries lots of oak, lactic acid, vinegar notes. Great beer. Thin with hi carb and a dry finish. Such a great juxtaposition of sweet nose and tart flavor. Love it.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Jstax ! Pours a deep rusty brown color with great clarity and a fizzy two fingers of khaki bubbles. The nose is bright with floral raspberry, earthy leather, cola and some sweet caramel and cocoa powder. The palate follows with dialed in flavors and a perfectly executed amount of tart funk. The harmony between earthy leather soaked malts, bright acidic raspberry and a long dry sweet tart finish is really tasty and begs you to keep sipping it away ! Wow

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours hazy brown with a small off-white cap, some retention and lacinfg. red berry fruitiness - not quite discernable raspberries, vinous and woodsy notes, acetic, nutty and caramelized malts. moderate carbonation, light to medium body, slightly awkward acidid and grassy-spicy finish. all in all, it seems to blend in well but it still feels sort of blah. still.. enjoyable!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (22 oz). Shared by mathieuc, thanks! Dark amber with a small beige head and light lacing. Aroma of raspberries, light/moderate acetic notes, light caramel, oak and light sweetness notes. Taste is slightly sweet and moderately acetic with raspberries, caramel, oak and light nutty presence. Light/medium body. Low/moderate carbonation. Acetic mouthfeel. Mouth puckering. Dry. Weird beast here. It’s hard to tell that the base beer is a Berliner Weisse. Fruity and acetic. Not easily drinkable, but enjoyable nonetheless.
