Draft sample. Poured amber color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate earthy hop and spice hot aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium smooth balanced pepper flavor with a medium bittersweet & pepper finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Sample at the Jackie O’s pub (Brewery side) on 8/16/13. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of dank florals, light pepper and some maltiness. Malty and slightly caramelly flavor with an earthy hop finish. A slight pepper heat comes through at the very end.

Taster on tap at Jackie-Os. Clear orange color. Thin white head. Couple dots of lace. Nice, citrusy hop nose. Spicy pepper finish for sure, but not too much heat. Nice light crisp crunchy vegetal snap to it. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Kind of caramel malty sweet taste, with the light heat in the finish. Interesting battle of opposing flavors, but they kind of clash for me, here. I think more than my taster’s worth would have been challenging to finish. Base is too sweet for me, I think, but an extra point for being interesting and different

Draft sample from the brewpub side. Pours a clear amber with some bubbles initially that don’t amount to any head. Notes of traditional green and jalapeno peppers, amber and sweet malts, and tea. Light-bodied, with a dry, spicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not overly spicy like some of the gimmicky pepper beers. More subtle, which I liked.

Poured on draft at Jackie-Os. Pours a semi-hazy copper with a thin white head of foam. The aroma is bready and herbal. Some vegetal notes come through in the taste and finish. Not quite my thing.
