From the news section of Jackie-Os website: "Hop Ryot has hit the taps and I believe that this is the finest IPA that we have produced here at Jackie Os. Get to the pub to try this rye IPA, or look for it on draft at Bodega in Columbus." ... On the chalkboard-menu in the bar (as of spring 2011): "So freakin good!"

Very light gold, fluffy white head. Nose is bready malt, peppery, lemony, hops. A bit grassy. Flavor is peppery, lemon, some pine & pith. A bit dusty in terms of malt. Reminds me a bit of racer 5.

Can. It poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, hops, biscuit and apple esters. The taste was similar to the aroma with moderate hops and heavy bitterness, some light maltiness and a dry finish. Very nice.

FROTHINGSLOSH (5973) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2015
Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a hazy bright golden color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was gritty and leafy fruity and floral hops. The flavor was bitter, tangy and sour with leafy floral and fruity hops. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Poured into a perfect pint. 4.0 A: Moderately hazed light orange color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy off-white head. Retention is good and a finger of lacing is left. 3.75 S: Pleasant intermingling of earthy and grassy hops with the earthy spiciness of the rye. Toasted malts underneath. On the drier side, but well balanced overall. 3.5 T: Same as the nose. Earthy spicy rye, earthy and grassy hops, toasted malts. 3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Light creaminess and super smooth. 3.75 D: Pretty solid overall. ★ 541 characters DavoleBomb, Mar 29, 2014

Shot (343) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Can. Pours a hazy gold with a massive white head. Aromas of piney, resiny citrus hops. Flavors are creamy bitter citrus and substantial breadiness followed with resiny hop flavors. Smooth finish. Somewhat oily mouthfeel with a hoppy prickliness on the tongue. Not a typical hop-hammer IPA. Smooth, bready and laid back. Very nice.

Onslow (1318) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUL 1, 2015
Pour from a 12oz can at the Hocking Hills Dining Lodge. Light amber brew iwth white head. Aroma of pine, fruit, citrus. Taste is dry with a notable rye presence, bitter, hops forward with a fine mix of resin and citrus hops. A little less refined and smooth than their mystic mamma IPA but excellent nonetheless.

Can. Golden orange, white head. Rye malty base, floral and light citric hops, low sweetness, and a balanced finish with light lingering bitterness. Good stuff.

Semi-hazed orange/yellow pour with filmy white head and lacing. Some spice from the rye is there along with mild citrus notes, a bit soapy, a bit earthy. Dry finish.

Pours a mostly clear golden yellow with ample head. Strong hoppy aroma with citrus notes. Strong hoppy bitterness with citrus/woodsy flavors. Goes down smoothly with medium body. Very solid IPA, excellent for a warm evening.
