From the news section of Jackie-Os website: "Hop Ryot has hit the taps and I believe that this is the finest IPA that we have produced here at Jackie O’s. Get to the pub to try this rye IPA, or look for it on draft at Bodega in Columbus." ... On the chalkboard-menu in the bar (as of spring 2011): "So freakin’ good!"

This has been on tap alot recently and for good reason. I think with rye you are either a fan or you are not, I am a fan as I think the rye gives a unique spice to the beer that you cant get with hops. It has very good bitterness to it the finish is lingering and the rye spice is very noticeable. When it is on draft it is one I always get.

3/24/15. 12oz can thanks to tubafatness. Hop Ryot... I get it! LOLOL!!!1111 Anyway. Golden orange pour with a small khaki head, mild lacing. Good aroma, some citrus and pine, mild maltiness, a hint at spice. Nice flavor, good balance of hoppy and bitter, maltiness, light spice. Not bad.

Great tasting rye IPA. This one is dry at first but finishes with a hoppy, fruit, citrus backing. Good beer and very enjoyable ipa from the can.

Bright hazy orange with a big white head. Bold fruity aroma with floral notes and a bit of spice underneath. Slightly malt sweetness backing the whole thing up. Whew, buddy. This is a good one. Rocking citrus and floral hops punched up with a nice spicy rye bite. The malt sweetness is still there holding it all together but comes across very smooth and not distracting. I only bought one can. I will be buying a case soon, I’m sure.

Pours light Amber with good head. Smells hops. Light with low carbonation. Bitterness is balanced. Not too bitter. Overall a good one for hop heads! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In the can @ home, thanks to michcam for sending. Pours a bright orange appearance with a big fluffy, ran head. Aroma has light caramel, dull rye, lots of passion fruit, and grapefruit. Medium body. Citrus forward flavor. A little stale and bready. Decent.

Can at Moerlein Lager House (despite it being on their draft list). Good hop aroma with a bit of rye. The rye really comes through in the flavor. Solid.

Pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma of malt with a touch of pine. Taste follows, more malt than I’d like.

Can. Orange peel and spicy rye malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange, rye malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. Definitely so freakin’ good.

Can from Vintage Estate. Pours straw golden with white head. Nose is litterbox, citrus, and some pine. Well balanced, nice backbone and citrus hop goodness. Some mild rye notes. Really, really delicious.

This is a nice, strong grapefruit-centric IPA. This is a cloudy orange golden brew with a head of fine bubbles. Its nose is big citrus with a touch of pine to it as well. It tastes just a little sweet which brings out mandarin orange and floral notes. There is a touch of honey-like malt character but this is really all about the hops. Texture is full bodied and a bit juicy but not too heavy and really very drinkable. It finishes with solid bitterness and just a touch of a pleasant apple skin astringent note. This is a really damn good Ipa, heartily recommended by yours truly to all fans of the style.
