4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Shared from the bottle. The aroma on this beautiful mango juice colored beer is constantly changing- pineapple orange guava juice, snickerdoodle, cider, juicey citrus rind, sulphur. Tastes like tart lemons and guava, mango juice, and wintergreen mint. The bitterness on this puppy is so amazing. It balances with the tartness so well. I loved this beer!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
22oz bottle, 59/400 - pours a hazy golden with a white head. Juicy aroma, guava, grapefruit, snicker doodle, sulfur, apple cider, really complex. Tart minty flavors balance by a subtle bitterness, clean and focused. Wintergreen Gum and a well hidden ABV make this one hell of a delicious sour from Jackie-O’s!!

A nice tart lemony saison with some curious and interesting herbal notes. One of the best sours I’ve had from this brewery. I’m actually impressed.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2014 A - pours light bright honey apricot with no head. S - oooh! This has the makings of an amazing sour saison. Lemon and light over ripe orange juice. Lemon zest. Nice amount of yeast and just the right amount of funk. In the vein of Sante Adairius and HF. M - lightly tart. Medium light body. Nice delicate and round and complex palate. Dry tart end. T - The mouth takes all the good of the nose and just adds to it. Sweetened Lemon juice and zest. Over ripe orange, subtle grapefruit and canned pineapple lead the taste. The palate is subtle acetic acid, floral notes, nice yeast, bretts, slight barrel notes and honey. End is dry grasses, lightly bitter grapefruit and yeast. O - this is a beautiful tart saison. Really well done. Tart, funky, yeasty fruity, floral, and sweet. Right up there with all the HF, tired hands and Sante saisons I’ve had. If it had more carb it would be astounding. Truly this should be in the top 10 saisons. Well done Jackie-o’s.
