Sample at Jackie O’s 6th Anniversary Extravaganza on 12/3/11. Black pour with a thin tan head. Smooth and roasty coffee nose with a bit of chocolate. Flavor starts with coffee and grainy malt, then moves to nuts and chocolate in the finish. Tasty stuff, but the coffee seems a bit more in your face than it did with the Dark App Kopi (which was quite the amazing beer). Still solid.

This poured a straight oil black with a dark tan head, intimidating to say the least. Aroma was lots and lots of dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, and lots of black coffee, the kopi is so nice here. Flavor was just as impressive as the aroma, loads of coffee, herbal, nto burnt, very smooth and alcohol is hidden termendously as well. Just an excellent stout.

Poured on draft into a 4 ounce sampler glass. Appearance is black with a thick head of brown/purple foam. Aroma is rich and smoky kopi coffee predominantly. Taste is that same kopi presence that just rocks. Smooth drinking with a long finish and an aftertaste of coffee. Love this beer.
