Yeast dominates the nose and aroma. Are there really cherries here? I get more oranges than anything else, but honestly the yeast covers everything else. Decent I guess, but further reinforces my "meh" opinion if Jackie O's.

22 oz. Staff bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy pink orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma has a nice tart, acidic cherry with some wood and mild funk. The flavor has a good amount of barrel wood, tart, cherry, acidic, with mild funk. The only knock is that the flavor softens toward the finish. Overall, pretty solid.

Served in a Jackie O’s 2012 STAFF glass. Bottle 136/197. Nose has faint cherry and nice lactic acidity. Flavor brings in cherry and a bit of pit. Very subtle. Quite good.

Bottle #60/197 shared with friends. Clear reddish amber pour with a thin off-white head. Funky aroma with notes of pepper, cherry and citrusy sourness. Cherry flavor right off the bat, with some peppery yeast and maltiness before a sour and citrusy finish. Very nice because in a lot of the super sour krieks out there, the sourness of the bugs drowns out the cherry flavor (for my palate, anyway), but the cherries are front and center on this one. Very tasty.

Thanks to JaBier for sharing bottle #60/197. The beer is pinkish-amber color with a medium fizzy white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of sour fruit and brett. Light-bodied with a tart fruity character and notes of yeast, cherries and oak. The finish is moderately sour with a lingering cherry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

22 oz bottle shared by Kan at All Stouts Day 2012. Thanks, dude! Pours a rich glowing rich grapefruit hue, touches of orange and pink, gentle haziness grows firmly. Gentle frothy offwhite head. Aromas offer big lemon and grapefruit, big citrusy bite, lactic lemon zip, gentle carbonation, bigger cherryskin/kriek element as it grows and settles. Cherry, tart, funky brett and oak, some straw and grass, gentle dust. Initial is lighter bodied, with a firm sourness up front. Big grapefruit and cherry play, with zippy carbonation, funky brett, dry straw, grass, and growing oak. Cherries, cranberry, lots of grapefruit and lemon. Bigger lactic zip on the palate. Middle shows some dryness, oak, and cherries, and bigger grapefruit, lactic lemony zing. Backend is dry and tart, cherry skins, gentle kiss of vinegar. Oak, lemons, and grapefruit. Finish is really lovely. Complex lush fruit flavors, great sour edge without getting into an acedic area. Great flavors. Great sour drinker.

22oz bottle. Staff society bottle... Pours a hazy somewhat murky red grapefruit pour And topped with a minimal soapy white head... Aroma of light lemon acidity with raspberry forwardness. A tamed sourness overall but still semi-bright fruit... Flavors are more of the same with lemons and raspberries. Strong sour character with light to medium carbonation. Solid sour with a nice degree if sourness without being overwhelming. Nice change of pace to the stout feel. Body is just on the shy of medium on the whole. Solid.

Bottle... Murky pink-grapefruit colored ale with a miniscule, creamy, white head. The bouquet is a funky, fruity, oaken swirl - berries here, but not necessarily cherries. Medium-bodied and astringent with zippy carbonation. The flavor is sour and fruity - definitely cherries here. Finishes tart and dry. Borders on being a world class beer. Thanks go out to darkguardian for sharing this rarity with the South Florida Brew Crew!
