Vintage 2013 Bottle 59/400 Thanks Mark! Pours a brown coffee color with a solid quilt of tans. Smells of oak, cherry, touch of chocolate, maybe some raspberry musk. Decent nose. Flavor is richly cherry, some more dark chocolate, some more musk. Theres oak, some tannins and a nice tartness. A bit of umami in the flavor that gives depth to all the components. Medium on thin with moderately reserved carb and a dry finish. Good beer.

Sample from bottle #146/400 at the Jackie Os Staff Bottle Tasting Part 1 on 04/11/2015. The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, oak and malt. Medium-bodied with a vinous oak character and notes of tart cherry, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is moderately sour with a cherry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bottle at de Garde, Tillamook. Pours a deep reddish brown, still aspect. Aroma very tannic, some fruit as well. Body rich and acetic, lacto tang but again, really tannic. Good but not world-class.

Bottle... Pours clear and dark mahogany with a small, fragile, off-white head thats gone in a flash. The aroma is fruity, vinous and earthy cherries, oak, wet leather, and tangy-dry red wine. Medium-bodied and watery with feather-soft carbonation. The flavor offers sour, fruity red-raspberries and sour cherries accompanied by whispers of earthy, berry-skin tannins and faint bitterness. Super-tart, sandpapery, bone-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!
