Hazy amber beer. Softish palate, a little dry. Light carbonation. Rich grapefruit marmalade. Aniseed - licorice spice and subtle sweet peach and fresh orange. Finishes dry but then has a bitter spicy aftertaste. Very drinkable DIPA.

At Jackie-O’s, Athens OH on 11 March 2010. Amber colour. Not much head. Powerful resinous hops on the nose. Some flowery notes. More hops on the palate - resinous and orangey. Excellent, firm bitterness. Not too sweet. Very drinkable for the strength.

Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: Thanks to JaBier for sharing bottle #35/156. The beer pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium thin and fluffy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Grapefruit and hops aroma. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and flavors of citrus, pine and caramel malt. The finish is piney with a lingering hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bomber shared by JCB. Thanks! Pours an unclear light orange with a thin white head. Aroma is straight up papaya, fresh tropical hop notes. Taste is super bitter, resiny hops, pine needles. Powerful- nice in your face, fresh DIPA. Seems like a rarity these days!
