Citrusy, floral, mango and orange. Very similar to Two Hearted, though I was served the wrong beer at first. Flavor is strongly bitter, creamy mouthfeel, tiny bit of oxidized hop flavor though not really distracting. Carbonation is on the low side. Good enough. BeerBelcher (940), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2009 This was my first experience with a Jackie O beer, and I thought it was a pretty decent IPA. Dark amber in color with minimal head, significant citrus hop in the aroma, nice balance of citrus bitter and malt in the flavor although it had a significant metallic flavor also. Mouthfeel was a touch on the thin side. Pretty good.
I had this on-tap at Bodega. pantanap (1341), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Assertive citrus and floral hoppy nose... Flavors remain totally consistent with the aroma with a nice bitter finish that lingers on the palate.J Dogbrick (2855), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazed golden-orange color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with a moderately hoppy flavor with piney and citrusy characteristics. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Definitely reminiscent of other West Coast IPAs (really reminded me of Green Flash), and a pretty good beer overall. JaBier (1219), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy orange pour with a medium off-white head. Huge orange aroma (thanks Amarillo and Centennial!) with notes of sweet malt and grapefruit. Orange dominates the flavor as well, but there are also some grapefruit and pine characteristics balanced by sweet malt before a bitter finish. My kind of IPA. sliffy (1967), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2009 I had to maneuver myself through the white reggae concert crowd at brew week to score a growler of this. I enjoyed some of it back at the hotel while watching some excellent tbn ministry coverage. The 7.1 percent is hidden very well. I got alot of floral hops at least more so than citrus. Very well balanced. It had a session amount of bitterness to the taste, not too much but not too little. I did get more citrus in the flavor though. Overall a solid beer. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Sample (draught) at Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2009. Rating #2 for this beer.
