This is that big sticky hop elixir that I have always wanted to brew. Columbus and Warrior hops lend an assertive bitterness. Amarillo, Simcoe, and Centennial hops give this beer tons of great flavors of grapefruit, tangerines, and pine needles. A big dry hop addition of Amarillo and Simcoe give Mystic Mama a nose to stand up to the flavor. Soon to be a year round addition.

A west coast styled IPA that uses 5 different hops (Centennial, Amarillo, Warrior, Simcoe, Columbus) giving it tons of flavor, aroma, and an assertive bitterness. 7% abv with the ability to get you hop trigger firing!

I had to maneuver myself through the white reggae concert crowd at brew week to score a growler of this. I enjoyed some of it back at the hotel while watching some excellent tbn ministry coverage. The 7.1 percent is hidden very well. I got alot of floral hops at least more so than citrus. Very well balanced. It had a session amount of bitterness to the taste, not too much but not too little. I did get more citrus in the flavor though. Overall a solid beer.

Can from a recent trade. Poured a deep orange-light brown with haze in my snifter at home. Thick white head and solid lacing. The aroma was bold pine, grapefruit and orange citrus, fresh cut weeds and grass, and hay. The taste was serious hop forward with pine, pine resin, citrus, hay, straw, and grass/weeds. Full body for an ipa, decent carb. Finish is bitter and big malt backbone. Not overly sweet for a DIPA.

Can, thanks to Matt. Pours cloudy gold, with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, and sugar. Flavor is hops, more pine than grapefruit. Also sugar and malt.

Can, as pictured. Pours a hazy/cloudy pee-yellow. Very strong aroma, really nice. Heavy on the citrus. Smooth and surprisingly easy drinking, despite being so heavy on the hops. Dry finish.

Can... Pours clear and amber with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The nose furnishes boatloads of grapefruit and passionfruit with an undercurrent of honey malt. Medium to full-bodied with vibrant carbonation. Flavor-wise, rindy, citrusy bitterness is the star of the show. Finishes bitter, caustic and a touch dry. Can courtesy of darkguardian!

Hazy golden orange colored pour. Big fluffy white head. Plenty of lacing. Huge fruit and hop aroma. Taste if oranges cereal and malt. Finishes slightly dry and sweet.

Can via Summer Secret Santa 2014. Wow, this caught me off guard. Pours a lightly hazy golden with white head. Aroma is pretty nice dank, orange, citrus refreshing. Taste is that peach hop thing that I love in IPAs. Pine needle, orange peel, slightly cat piss aroma/taste. Very nice.

12 ounce can. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A sweet fruity nose. The flavor is earthy, sweet oranges, mild bitterness, resin. Herbal tea. Quite good.

Would take Marilyn Monroe to upstage this in a whispery voice singing sultry songs to a brew master. It can and should happen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz can poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Hazy golden orange with 2.5 fingers of off-white head. Light lacing. Aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, caramel. Tastes of tropical fruit, citrus, floral hops, light pine, a little bit of caramel. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Juicy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Delicious.
