Slightly hazy light oak color with a medium white head. The lemon really stands out in aroma and taste. The pine is noticeable but different than a west coast beer with cascade hops. Good bitterness but not overpowering. Very tasty one that I kept going back for.

Draft at the taproom, 7/14/14. Pours a clear yellow color with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of citrus, tropical hops, pale malts and a hint of spruce. The taste is strong spruce, citrus and pine hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

Draft... Muckfest 2014... Pours clear and yellow with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aromatic highlights are spruce and grapefruit. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is bright and medium-bitter. Crisp, snappy, refreshing finish.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has a potent resiny spruce character, fresh lemon zest, and some doughy malts. The flavor has the pine/spruce notes take center stage with a decent helping of lemon zest as well. The base malts are doughy and lightly toasted. The lower abv has not diminished the flavor of the beer. Makes for nice session IPA. It is on tap locally now and I will have to revisit.

Flip top from the brewery (shared June 2012). Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has a fresh lemon zest, potent resiny spruce and some doughy malts. The flavor has the pine/spruce notes take center stage with a decent helping of lemon zest as well. The base malts are doughy and lightly toasted. Interesting, and definitely better the fresher you get this. It is on tap locally now and I will have to revisit.

Pour from a growler brought by gendv138 to the presidential suite- thanks again, Donnie! Pours a clear, pale gold with a white head. Notes of lemon and grapefruit citrus, florals, pale malts, soap, grass, and some lighter, dry bready malts. Light-bodied, with a bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Finishes dry. Really nice summer IPA. Drinks lighter than 7%.

Bottle shared at RBSG. Thanks gendv138! Pours a golden color with white head. Hoppy, grassy, piney aromas. Hoppy, resiny flavors.

Growler @ Presidential Suite. Thanks to Donald. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Interesting woody herb aromas. Lots of pine and grapefruit peel. Bready malt, some orange, and a slight peach ester. Flavor is a touch sweet up front with some bread and caramel. Nice piney bitterness. Strong herbal character as well as a long of citrus peel. Not bad.

Shared at RBSG 2014 in the Presidential Suite. Nose is citrus; not getting much spruce/pine that isn’t hop driven. Taste is grassy, astringent and the finish is harsh. Ugh. Not really sure what is going on here, but it’s weird; not up my alley

This is perfectly clear golden with just a little bit of head. This has the great big hop nose you look for in any IPA--lots of peaches and pine in this case. This is pretty dry but there is just enough residual sweetness to help bring out the fruitiness in the hops. It has mild carbonation and is medium bodied. This is a very solid IPA, done right.

Growler from the Daily Growler. Yellow gold pour with a thin white head and spotty stick. Aroma is pine, little oniony, floral and citrus. Tastes are along the same line with a fresh growth vibe like the name indicates. Balanced with lemon and even malt backbone. Well done.
