Draft. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate west coast hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid beer.

Aroma is citrusy and has a distinctive and unique hop scent. Left a nice lace behind. You can really taste the hops in this pale ale very citrusy just like the aroma suggests. Overall pretty solid beer from this nice little craft brewery.

Pours a deep golden brown with very few bubbles and not a lot of head. Looks like a beer and not apple juice like many other lagers. Very faint malty aroma with an even fainter hint of fruit. Smooth tasting with little aftertaste. Not very bitter, definitely tastes like a beer. Ultimately, Y. is an American macro thats drunk more for texture (fizzy) and temperature (cold) than taste

Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of butter notes and leafy hops. The taste is earthy hops, butter, caramel and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Too much butter... hopefully this is a bad batch.

Hazy gold pour. Aroma is grassy hops, cereal grains and biscuit malt. Not enough hops for my palate

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2015 Golden-orange appearance, light to decent head. Nice hops aroma, but more watery tasting than I prefer. Nice crisp texture, though. Short aftertaste.

Re-rate on 4/10/2012: On tap. Mildly hazy yellow-orange color. Good, thin white head, leaving good lace. Great light bitter taste. Awesome satisfying hops here. Nice crisp carbonation, dry texture. Definitely an excellent batch of OPA (it can vary). Palate score adjusted from 3 to 4. Overall score adjusted from 13 to 14. 6/4/7/4/14

Update rate, 10/21/15: On tap at Dutchs. Keg filled 9/9. Hazy orange color. Bigger off-white head. Awesome balance of citrusy, mild peppery hop, and bready malt. Hoppy, but not too bitter, assertive, or biting like some hoppy pale ales can be. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet, mild dry finish. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Great, perfectly balanced, satisfying smooth and easy-drinking pale ale.

On tap into a sampler glass. Appearance is a hazy copper with a nice white head. Aroma is hops, grass, and a bit earthy. Taste was quite the shock after tasting mostly sour beer for awhile. Hop forward moving on to a bready finish. Medium bodied. Nice APA.

This poured a medium to dark orange color with an off white head. Aroma was of light grassy hops and pale/caramel malt. Flavor was biscuts, bittering/grassy/ light citrus hops, and lightly toasted pale malt. Very bland and uninviting.
