375 ml bottle into snifter, 2014 vintage bottling. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark brown head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, toast, nuttiness, dark bread, raisin, plum, light licorice, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, walnuts, and moderate dark fruit notes; with good strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, toast, dark bread, nuttiness, raisin, plum, light licorice, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, toast, dark bread, nuttiness, raisin, plum, light smoke/char and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, walnuts, and moderate dark fruit flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very creamy, smooth, fairly slick, and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome imperial stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, walnuts, and moderate dark fruit flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Nice aroma of malt, chocolate, and fruit. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, vanilla, and caramel. Had trouble picking up the walnuts, but am sure that they added to the unique flavor. Very good.

Taste light bitter up front, more bitter chocolate flavors, sweet dark fruit, and mid palate light nutty. Late palate to finish roasty chocolate. Nice thick mouth feel. Nice flavors throughout.
