COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oil of Aphrodite is an American double stout brewed with locally harvested black walnuts and Belgian candy syrup. English, German, American, and Belgian malts are accompanied by pacific northwest hops, creating a sweet and rich springboard for deep nuttiness. Lay this beer down for a while and share with friends and loved ones. After all, beer should be enjoyed and remembered; this is why quality and character are at the heart of every beer we produce.

From notes. Finally found the long-lost notebook from the 4 Elf Party at Dark Horse on December 13! So, thats where this was found. Shared by a passer-by for a chance to hang around the campfire wed built. The pour on this is a viscous oily black with a thin dark brown ring of head and a spotty lace/ The aroma was lots of dark fruits up front, and a strong cocoa presence. The nuttiness definitely comes on strong on the back end. The flavor is very similar. There is a great cocoa throughout that I really like. The dark fruits are a nice touch as they blend incredibly well with the walnuts. There is a little vanilla and a slight graham cracker on the far back end. The mouth feel is a little light, but it is nicely carbonated, producing a nice velvety feel, but it falls off quickly. The aftertaste is lingeringly bitter from the cocoa, with a hint of nuttiness. Damn good
