Draft pour at the source. Clear copper pour with a velvety white head of foam. The aroma is dry, floral, fruity, and oddly, it had some vanilla beans coming through. The taste is dry, papery, fruity, and sweet. Bigger body. Medium carbonation.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a slightly hazy copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of fruit, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, fruit and roast malt. The finish is fruity up front with a mild herbal hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft at Jackie Os Brewpub, 7/14/14. Pours a hazy amber with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready malt, yeast, spice, citrus and herbal hops. The taste is yeast, spice, citrus hops and bready malt. Medium bodied, lingering spice, low carbonation.

Draft on the brewpub side, part of a 5-beer taster I ordered. Pours a semi-cloudy gold with an eggshell white head. Notes of bready and doughy malts, lemon citrus (and later orange), banana, florals, clove, and mellow spice and farmhouse funk throughout. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation. Wears its Belgian-ness proud and brings a lot of citrus and breadiness to the table. ABV is well disguised. I see why this one lends itself well to wine barrel aging.

Tap sample. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast, citrus and malt aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Another solid complex beer.

Sample at the bottle sale on 3/2/13. Clear copper pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of banana, clove, pepper and apricot. Malty flavor with banana and clove character and some pepperiness, before a crisp finish with stone fruit accents.

Taster on tap at the brewpub. Mostly clear darker orange color. Good white head. A thin layer retains impressively well. Bigger body. Smooth, light to medium carbonation. Kind of creamy. Great lace. Zesty sweet taste. Very light hint of alcohol in the finish, not at all bothersome. Nice lemon, light farmhouse / spice aroma. Great "super saison". Much better than Hoppin Frogs attempt
