3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle courtesy of Brad. The beer is a hazy orange color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Citrusy aroma with some oak and grain in the background. Medium body with a moderately tart citrus flavor backed up by grainy malt, oak and yeast. The finish is fruity with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Dogbrick. I think I may have actually tried this one straight out of the barrel shortly after Brad put it in there. Pours a semi-hazy gold with a medium white head. Nose is of oak, juicy valencia oranges, funk, citrusy hop and some Belgian yeast esters. Big orange flavor up front with some citrusy funk and a bitter hop and oak finish. Very nice.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber; thanks bvc for sharing; pours dirty orange with slight haze and thin white head; sticky malts, bitter oranges and a grainy sourness; body is thin and flat with an almost waxy texture; a crayola boil addition maybe; light orange flavors with honey and sharp bitter finish; a little sweet with a faint sourness on top of it all; another strange beer from Jackie Oís that doesnít really work for me

650 ml bottle compliments of Cliff
The final sample of the night was this American strong ale. I found it slightly more enjoyable than the imperial stout but only by a slim margin. If Ratebeer went to hundredths of a point this one would edge out Dark Apparition by .01 points. This makes a third reason to try to get down to the brewpub or hope they can begin distributing statewide at some point.
Aroma / Appearance - The chunky lacing may have partially been a byproduct of the previous beer in the glass. Transparent and much more carbonated this sparkled with orange life. Tart and sour citrus leapt from the glass into the nose. The brettiness has taken hold and is not letting go any time soon.
Flavor / Palate - Not as dry as I was expecting this still had some other flavors kicking around. Mixed in was what tasted like a strong IPA with a mild citrus kick. The wheaty dry finish was where the brett came to life. Sinking its claws into the throat the aftertaste stuck there like caramel chews between the teeth. Overall this is a novel take on what could otherwise have been Yet Another Strong Ale.

22oz bottle from stfun, thanks again man. Slightly murky gray golden with cotton like head. First thing that hits me is some poopie horse blanket, homey, ginger, grahm, slightly cheesey. Kind of tart and funky up front with weird earthy cheese and bittering hops on the end with bits of citrus honey. Best Jackie Oís Iíve ha to date. Really a strange brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange juicy nose with lots of sour poopy barrel notes. Hazy light golden pour with a ring of foam. Orangey citrus notes, poopy barrel tartness. Nice hoppy notes shine through. Nice and citrusy with a touch of funky poop and dryness. Really odd but interesting beer.
