This was picked up at the brewpub then opened a day later at home. A shockingly good hefeweizen is more than just a novelty. If available fresh do not miss out on a tropically themed wheat beer that melts the snow outside and transports you to a sunny beach.

Aroma / Appearance - A cloudy lemony base has an orange tint. A gentle layer of ivory head adds nice contrast. Paw paws, mango, wheat, and fresh from the oven bread meld effectively. A trace of nutty cookie dough is an added bonus.

Flavor / Palate - Bubbly tropical waves of bright texture refresh the throat. Mango, wheat, and ripe bananas in their prime sweeten the mood. The finish is soothing and bright. I hope this one day gets canned because if it did I would keep it around in the summer.

Taster on tap at Jackie-O’s during their 8th Anniversary, on the brewpub side. Totally cloudy, yellow orange color. Minimal white head. Medium body. Lighter, kind of soft carbonation. Dry finish. Nice big hefe flavor, good light vanilla, banana, light spice, and nice amount of paw paw works very well with the hefe flavors. Good combination and balance. Nice moderate sweet, light tart, light spice. Solid, interesting hefe. Not the smoothest, but one of the most flavorful.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy straw color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing. Wheat, malt and fruit in the nose. Light to medium body with a subtle paw paw character and notes of bready malt and wheat. The finish is semi-sweet with a short fruity aftertaste.Decent overall.
