3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a hazy orange amber colour with a thin white head with poor retention and no lacing. Sweet aroma of fruit, wheat malt, and a hint of herbal spice. Flavor is rich of the tropical fruits, candied sugars, light wheat bitterness, and spiced yeast. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Crisp finish and alcohol is hidden well. Initial fruit flavor had caught me off guard and are definitely quite quirky, but is still an enjoyable journey.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of fruits (paw paws I guess, not sure what those are like), some light malts and wheat and dough, and hints of bitterness, plus some spiciness from the wheat and yeast. Flavor the same with a decent blend of everything, hiding the 9% well. Average texture. An interesting beer.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2015 Bottle. Pours cloudy--a dirty Amber color. Aromas of honey, apricot and a hint of caramel. Almost no head retention. Flavors are honeysuckle, stone fruits, and a slight herbal tone--very subtle. Very slight hop presence. Slightly peppery mouthfeel. The lack of any sort of head and the absence of any real aroma or hop presence is suspect, but I actually like this. It has a substantial feel with generous alcohol warmth. But it’s still refreshing and satisfying. This is a good one. You can tell this is a well-made brew.

Hazy, orange-amber, floaties..small white head.
Paw-paw and slight alcohol scent.
Creamy pap-paw flavour...wheat malt.
The paw-paw is spot on......exactly as advertised....really great...
I actually have a paw-paw patch on my property...
This beer pinpoints the presentation of pure paw-paw perfectly...
How’s that for alliteration?...

Bottle... Lightly hazy golden ale with a fizzy, white head. The bouquet is restrained - lightly bready with a medley of sweet, overripe stone fruits and a whimper of farmhouse yeast-driven spiciness. Full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet, fruity, mildly caustic and lightly spicy. Bottle courtesy of growler!
