COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The paw paw fruit is something we take great pride in. The Native fruit of Ohio and one that flourishes here in Athens. A tropical fruit tree that grows in in a temperate climate and produces a one of a kind experience. Flavors of mango, banana, and a touch of melon.

In 2003, our good friend Kelly Sauber brewed the first paw paw beer utilizing locally harvested paw paw fruit from Integration Acres. We are now very proud to bring Paw Paw Wheat back and to you all!

Bottle: Hazy, orange-amber, floaties..small white head. Paw-paw and slight alcohol scent. Creamy pap-paw flavour...wheat malt. The paw-paw is spot on......exactly as advertised....really great... I actually have a paw-paw patch on my property... This beer pinpoints the presentation of pure paw-paw perfectly... How’s that for alliteration?...

Bottle. Strong pawpaw (milky banana/orange/melon) and wheat malt aroma. Hazy amber with small head. Sweet creamy pawpaw and wheat malt flavor. Light herbal hops finish. Very good - great use of this uncommon fruit.

Bottle... Lightly hazy golden ale with a fizzy, white head. The bouquet is restrained - lightly bready with a medley of sweet, overripe stone fruits and a whimper of farmhouse yeast-driven spiciness. Full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet, fruity, mildly caustic and lightly spicy. Bottle courtesy of growler!

Murky gold, filmy cream ring. Sweaty, spicy hop nose, melon sweetness. The melon more evident front palate, sugary mid is soft, lightly doughy a la cheap biscuits, zesty carbonation elevating the soft, mineral dough finish.

From a 75 cl bottle at the DC Pre-Turkey Day tasting on Nov 9, 2014. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Aroma of orange and pineapple. Flavors of pineapple and white pepper. Decent.

Bottle shared at the DC Pre-Thanksgiving tasting. Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma was some staraw notes, tropical fruit - I have no idea what paw paws smell or taste like, so I’ll just say orange zest and mango. Light tartness.

Pours hazy yellow. Nice, understated beer. Light citrus with a light sour finish. Some Berliner yeast here. Bottle.
