Flip top unlabeled bottle... Poured clear golden with a white head. Aroma was sweet with hints of light fruits like sour apples. Tasted funky with hints of citrus juice, grapes, apples with drying yeast tartness. Finished with horseblanket and Brett muskiness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery during One Funky Afternoon. Served in a tulip.
Pours a light yellow blonde with a thin white head. The nose has a bit of light wheat and hay plus some citrus, lemons, and light lactic acid. Mild earthiness. Flavor has a good amount of acid. Nice and light, fitting nicely with the beer. Little bit of lemon and light hay. Good light body with moderate carbonation. Sourness in the finish. All around, a really nice brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sample at One Funky Afternoon at Jackie O’s on 04/02/2011: This brew is a mostly clear orange-amber color with a medium bone white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing. The aroma is citrusy and sour with notes of brett and malt. Medium body with a moderately sour fruit character and notes of yeast, sweet malt and mild spice. The finish is lemon rinds and yeast. Well-executed, and one of my favorites of the day.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was light lemons, lots of brett, and some milk too. Flavor was nice and tart, a bit funky and somewhat fruity and spicey too. The name fits this well. A very simple sour blonde.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled during One Funky Afternoon on 4/2/11. Clear amber pour with a thin white head. Traditional funk and sour lemon aroma, reminiscent of a good gueuze. Flavor starts with lemon and some other sour fruitiness I can’t place, then moves to funk and malt before a lingering sour finish. Spectacular.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap into a sampler glass. Appearance is a hazy yellow to copper color with a white head. Interesting aroma, almost nonexistent but what is there is a pleasant brett and something else I can’t quite place. Taste is the initial sour taste and then perhaps some wood?
