COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
84 pounds of fresh Oregon raspberries give this ale a unique and playful personality. The Rosy haze and sticky head embody a continuum of sour sweetness held together by a subtle wheat wheat blackbone.

Draft sample at brewpub. Poured cloudy reddish copper with average rocky white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Aroma was moderate tart raspberry with a wheat tone. Flavor was moderate tart raspberry with a good balanced tart wheat finish. Medium body with pleasing texture and soft carbonation. Above average fruit beer.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a murky reddish-orange color with with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Tart raspberry aroma with some wheat in the background. Light body with a mildly sour raspberry flavor that has notes of wheat and malt in the background. The finish is fruity with a tart raspberry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft served in a pint glass at Arnoldís. Pours a hazy pink-tinted peach color with a minimal white ring for a head. Aroma of raspberries, wheat, sugary cereal, and candy. The flavor is the same, for the most part, but maybe with a little dry straw. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a wheaty mouthfeel that starts sweet and finishes very dry. I probably would appreciate this more in a taster at Jackie-Oís. A whole pint is more than enough for my tastes.

Reddish brown appearance, like what Iíd expect a ruby red grapefruit juice to look like. Bonus, the head was actually pink-colored! Iíve never encountered that before. Aroma does not disappoint, with a full raspberry taste in the nose upfront and a medium gently fading finish. Taste is slightly sweet and sour, much like a grapefruit juice that kind of seems appropriate for the beer. Crisp palate and texture, a little thin feeling, maybe too sharply carbonated but satisfying. However interesting this beer may be, though, I couldnít imagine drinking more than one. For me, itís a novelty... It goes down easy, but itís not heavily drinkable due to the strong fruit flavor.

Sampler flight on tap at the brewpub (Athens, OH). Pours a well hazed orange amber hue, touch of pink with frothy offwhite head. Thicker ring laces ok. Aromas are gentle berry, citrus, and flaked wheat. Touches of straw, bready malts, dough, gentle kiss of sweet pulpy berry. Initial is lighter bodied offering touches of red barry, raspberries, and bready malts. Touches of grass, gentle sweetness. Middle gives a touch of citrus, lingering berry and bready malts, touches of dry earthy hops are slight. Simple yet solid fruit beer, mellow.

Draft. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium slight pink head. The aroma is mildly sweet raspberries, tart notes, wheat, grass with a light toasted quality. The flavor is similar with the opening having more grassy with wheat notes and the raspberries starting later and remaining through the finish. Decent for what it is.
