Draft during OBW 2011 (notes). Pours a murky dark copper color with a small beige head. The aroma had caramel, ripe apricots, brandy, some woodland a mild butterscotch note that seemed ok here. The flavor was caramel, honey, some fruit, brandy, and oak. There was mild bitterness at the finish.

Pours amber with a light beige head that quickly recedes. Moderate lacing. Caramel, buttered toffee, dark fruit and oak. Overall a decent beer tho I couldnt really get past all the buttered toffee notes. Lots of barrel character and some brandy

On draft. Appearance is a cloudy copper with a thin head of white-ish foam. Aroma is musty butterscotch and booze. Taste is an off-putting combination of leather, raisins, licorice, butterscotch and booze. This just wasnt for me I suppose.

Sample at the brewpub during OBW on 7/13/11. Cloudy amber pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch, soft fruit, citrus and earthy hops. Caramel and soft fruit flavor, followed by butterscotch and caramel before a semi-bitter earthy hop finish.

Dogbrick (11508) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Sample at Jackie Os as part of Ohio Brew Week. Pours brownish-amber with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Sticky rings of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit and oak. Medium to full body with flavors of sweet malt and caramel, oaky vanilla, yeast and fruit. The finish is malty with a sweet yeast aftertaste. Good beer overall.
