Thanks to JaBier for sharing bottle #144/204 during Beer Savants 50th birthday bash. This beer pours a brownish-copper color with a medium thick bubbly beige head that evaporates eventually to some large bubbles around the edges. Spotty lacing on the glass. Vinous aroma with notes of oak and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of tart fruit, oak and earthy malt. The finish is slightly sour with a woody tart plum aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Bottle thanks to Gibson. Pours a dark brown with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is funk, oak, leather. Thin mouth, leather, sour fruit, funky, nice tartness, very good.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Pours a deep purple amber with an off-white head that starts at the edges and remains throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of plum and red fruit backed by tartness and a bit of earthiness. Flavor begins with sour plums that grows to a bit of acid with backing funk and a bit of sweet grains.

Bottle at a tasting at James place courtesy of James and his giant cellar. Pours a deep brown with a medium sized beige head. Barrel and wood, salty, touches of dark fruit and cherry. Medium bodied, lightly tannic, slight acid and toffee, a bit of funk. Long funkiness and warm barrel notes. Tannic and woody. Cool and interesting.

22 oz. bottle via trade with Puddintane- thanks again, Dave! 2011 release, bottle 80/204. Pours a murky brown color with a beige head. Lots of fruits in here, with caramel and sweet malts, oaky funk, and a sour mash character throughout. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a fruity, funky mouthfeel.

Sample at Jackie O-s. Pours a slightly hazy brown color with a small bubbly beige head. The aroma has tart plums, some hints of caramel, wood, and this note that I can only describe as the Jackie O-s funk. The flavor has the tart plums, wood, caramel, sour apple, slightly acidic and some funk. This is another very drinkable sour from Brad and the crew. I need to try this in a bottle soon.
