Pours an opaque dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is oaky and tart with a notable fruitiness that is sour...vinous...balsamic and slight sweet raisin notes. Flavor is tart and fruity...acidic...an unripened fruit note and earthy oakiness...malty...definite sour plum!...it works well!..im hardpressed to figure how the flavor could be better. Mouthfeel is light and lively and the finish is dry and very tart. Excellent!!

22oz bottle shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours dark red brown with light edges and a finger of head. Nose is nice tart dark fruits, tree bark, cola, oak. Taste is sour dark cherries, vanilla, damp wood, nutty cola, dark fruits. Finish is earthy vanilla cherry and tart dark fruit, old wet wood. Very nice stuff.

Poured on draft into a sampler glass. Aroma is sweet and lactic at at the same time with notes of what I believe to be the green plums. Taste is dark fruit sweetness with a drying sourness that leaves the mouth a touch cottony. Nicely carbonated and medium bodied. Love the low abv sours.

Sample at Jackie O’s 6th Anniversary Extravaganza on 12/3/11. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Not sure what a green plum is, but it must be a lot like a red or purple plum because I was able to pick out plum as the fruit without having to read the description. Aroma also contains dark malt and and funky sourness in addition to the strong plum essence. Malty and funky flavor with a bit of roast and chocolate before a sour plum finish. Tasty!

Thanks to JaBier for sharing bottle #144/204 during Beer Savant’s 50th birthday bash. This beer pours a brownish-copper color with a medium thick bubbly beige head that evaporates eventually to some large bubbles around the edges. Spotty lacing on the glass. Vinous aroma with notes of oak and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of tart fruit, oak and earthy malt. The finish is slightly sour with a woody tart plum aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Bottle thanks to alexsdad06 ! Pours a rusty umber color with a finger of khaki foam. Lots of layers of tart vinous fruit, some grape jelly sweetness and a deep roasted malt, earthy compost, leather, black tea, wet oak. Palate moves from tart to sweet to dry earthy with lingering vinous funk.

Bottle at a tasting at James’ place courtesy of James and his giant cellar. Pours a deep brown with a medium sized beige head. Barrel and wood, salty, touches of dark fruit and cherry. Medium bodied, lightly tannic, slight acid and toffee, a bit of funk. Long funkiness and warm barrel notes. Tannic and woody. Cool and interesting.

Bottle acquired in trade. Pours a richer deep brownish amber pour. Richer haze. Froty tannish head. Laces ok. Aromas are dark plums, sour lactic elements. Some dark fruit, lemons, acid, and oak. Initiall is medium sourness, dry plums, sourness, rich elements. Some middle is richer sour plums, a bit of cherry, firm lactic presence. Touch of vinegar. The plums give it some deeper fruit flavor, shying away from a more vinegar or acedic presence. Some oak, gentle carmelized or biscuity malts give some chase, firm sourness yet not overwhelming linger on the finish. Some vinegar, bit of red winey like qualities, cherries, plums, lactic. Well balance with some firm flavors for the style. Tasty.
