3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at Jackie Oís as part of Ohio Brew Week. Slightly hazy dark brown pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and hops. Light-bodied with a sweet caramel malt character and notes of roasted nuts and hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Dutchís. Great to see their stuff showing up in kegs in Cincinnati now. Pours a very dark brown, though not opaque, with a finger of tan head. Great-looking brown ale. Aroma of rich dark chocolate, oats, toasted malts, and nuts. Flavor of more rich dark chocolate, earth, oats, nuts, and well-done toast. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a rich, earthy mouthfeel that gives some noticeable bitterness rare in the style. Canít believe this is a 4.5% brown ale. Really rich.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a super dark reddish brown with a decent khaki head. Aroma is kinda weak, but Iím gettin a lot of malt, some brown sugar, and caramel. Taste is creamy and nutty, roasty. Its not too bad but its not outstanding either.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured on draft. Pours a translucent brown with a thick khaki colored head of foam. The aroma has some definitive chocolate notes and some oatmeal. The taste is chocolatey sweet and smooth oaty goodness. Light on the palate yet full in flavor. This is a great brown ale.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Jackie Oís. Served in a sampler glass. Pours a moderate brown color with a good off-white head. The nose is pleasantly hoppy with notes of toasted malt, bread crust, and chocolate in the background. Flavor is similar. Bitterness and light sweetness and very drinkable. A big hit.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served in a shaker. Hazy brown appearance, thin white light tan head. Very nice roasted aroma, chocolate but more bitter than sweet. Thin body makes this one superbly drinkable, great texture with a quick finish but an excellent aftertaste. This is the first brown ale that Iíve actually been impressed by.
