One of my favorites from the One Funky Afternoon Fest. Hazy gold pour with a fluffy white head and drippy lace. Aroma is lemon zest, funk and pedio. Loads of funk, lemon zest, Acidic and very reminiscent of a nice lemon aid. Dusty dry finish. Winner Winner

On tap at the One Funky Afternoon Release. Served in a tulip.
Pours a light apricot color with a good white head and some lacing as it goes down. The nose has a good amount of funk along with some slight sourness. Citrus and a bit of lemon rind couple with some light grain and a good Brett presence. Taste brings moderate funk and slight sourness plus some slightly-tart lemon skin. Mild stone fruits in the background. Good light feel with a crisp, dry finish that is lightly acidic. A really nice and drinkable brew.

Sample at One Funky Afternoon at Jackie O’s on 04/02/2011: This beer is a slightly cloudy orange color with a thin off-white head that burns away to nothing rather quickly. Spotty lacing. The aroma is very lemony with touches of yeast. Medium body with a citrusy lemon flavor and something...else. A pox on JaBier for muttering the words "pool water" because there is definitely an aspect of chlorine. Slight malt presence too. The finish is more of the same. A rare miss for Jackie O’s.

This poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was just straight lemon and chemicals. Flavor was straight lemon pledge, not good.

Sampled during One Funky Afternoon on 4/2/11. Hazy orange pour with no head. Aroma of lemons, a bit of sweetness and lots of funk. Sour lemon flavor with a bit of malty sweetness and a character that I can only describe as chlorine.

On tap into a sample glass. Appearance is hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is lemons and brett, a tad herbaceous as well. Taste is sour initially fading to a nice lemon taste. Lemon isn’t the super bitter, shocking taste you get when you bit into a lemon, but more the sweet taste that follows the initial shock. Medium bodied and pretty quaffable.

From Kan at RBSG 10. Thanks! Pours an orangey burnt gold with a fluffy head. Nose is firm citrus and earthy grain notes. A touch musty and Brett filled. Could use a bit more Brett depth. Leather and Acid. A suggestion of vinegar as well. Mostly lactic. On taste, sharp sourness that is faded into a leathery earthiness. Pretty well balanced. Solid Sour.
